  1. Can anyone help with my problems? :(
  2. Actually no - the Proxes are from Tyrepower and the Re001 from Bob Jane I get the feel that the Re001 is a better tyre - nice and sticky, but dont necessarilylast as long as a result. Meanwhile, the Proxes 4 is a good compromise for grip and longevity... The guy at TP said, however, that the Kumho KH15 is not only cheaper ($175), but is comparable to the Proxes. He did go on to say that he did not have anyProxes in, but did have the KH15. I did not expect the Re001 to come in at this price, so I have not really looked at it. Is this just a case of personal taste? That's a really good price on the RE001. I got the same quote over a year ago so that's real good. But as you said Elan they won't last as long as the Proxes 4. They are even softer than the T1Rs I believe. In regards to the Kumhos; I think he is trying to offload them. They might have been sitting there for a while as well so that's something to think about as well. Which Tyrepower did you get the quote from?
  3. hope 2 c ur car soon =] cant wait to see it and1. Wanna plan another one in 2-3 weeks :P
  4. Right. So I got my car back. I got most of the bits and pieces in. - MWR flywheel - F1 Racing stage 2 clutch - Energy Suspension engine mount inserts - RDA slotted front rotors - EBC Greenstuff fronts - 60k service completed with HPR 0 (0w-40), Ryco filter. - Changed gear oil to Royal Purple (75w-90) and added Nulon G70 gear additive - Flushed clutch and brake lines and replaced with Castrol super DOT4. Atm still in the bedding in stage so can't really say anything yet about the difference. Much more responsive though. But a couple of issues: - My disengagement point is now at a different point. Instead of it being at the floor (clutch pedal all the way in) it is probably 10mm-20mm off the end of travel. So if I clutch all the way in, it partially re-engages. So atm I find it almost impossible to get into reverse without crunching it. Would the solution to this be: 1) Adjusting the pushrod throw, or 2) Adjusting the pedal travel (free play?) - Also when my car is sitting at 90-100km/h in 6th gear (so about 3200-3400rpm); when I back off I hear a ticking noise, back on the accelerator, no more noise. It does not happen in different gears at the same rev range. Could my 6th be possibly stuffed? If anyone can help me let me know. Cheers.
  5. Car looks good man. I just bought one of those suction cup camera holders too. Hope mine sticks well

    Evokes Rolla

Tyres are the wrong profile for the 5zigens. Do you still have the rims? I'm keen on them..
  7. Got my car back from the workshop MWR flywheel, stage 2 clutch, ES engine mount inserts, RDA slotted front rotors, EBC greenstuff and new fluids all round; HPR 0 engine oil, Royal Purple gear oil + Nulon G70 an castrol super DOT4 in the brake and clutch lines. Now to bed everything in B)
  8. I got the same price quotes from Tyrepower in Joondalup and in East Perth. Cheaper than the Canning Vale one last time I looked. Elan how about you try the R1Rs :P
  9. Awesome turn out guys. Shame I couldn't come. I didn't have my car. Was in the workshop Ray awesome shots as usual Lets make another one soon..
  10. The T1Rs are very very quiet. I was surprised. Much quieter than the ER30s. I think Elan that the Teo Plus' might not be sticky enough ;)
  11. Oh my bad dude. Nah there are no bright spots as these LEDs are wide angle ones.
  12. Hiya - I've been quite busy running the business, recently been back to Kalgoorlie, had the flu for almost 2 weeks - yeah its been a busy time! Re the tyres - still getting quotes when I can. Only looking in the local area as it will be a case of dropping the car off and then to work. The prices so far are pretty dismal... Well to give you reference. My Toyo Proxes T1-R (sits one tier above the Proxes 4) were $201 each for 205/50/16. Then I ruined one of my tyres recently and got a new quote of 225 from the same place. I'm sure you would be able to get the Proxes 4 for well under $200

    Photoshop!!!!

Ray and Ken they are awesome pics. Thanks. The Euro front bumper does look good, but I don't like the front lip. The stivo front lip looks much better. Here's a better photo for you to slap on some rims. Any type of rims this time. No chrome <_< And 16s only please.
  14. Elan haven't seen you for a while. How you been? Have you tried getting a quote on some Toyos? Jayme has a set of Toyo Proxes 4 and he loves them. Not too expensive either.
  15. I didn't think much of the GT-R until I saw it on the road, considering that the R34 GT-R is my dream car. But when I saw one on the freeway the other afternoon, it has some serious road presence. I couldn't take my eyes off it lol. My choice of the cars listed though would definately have to be the Vantage. Classy, beautiful and that sound
  16. Those won't fit in the console. The bulbs are Neo wedge bases. You will need 3x12mm neo wedge base bulbs and 5x10mm neo wedge bulbs. The 12mm covers the clock and the climate control display. The 10mm covers all the other buttons except the emergency button (lights up red anyways) and the passenger seatbelt sensor (which is red when lit anyways) I bought my bulbs from here: Linky Edit: Azz, you will lose the dimming ability of the console as LEDs cannot dim, unless you use the original bulbs and slip on a different colour condom on the bulb.
  17. I think this would go better if you had some pics and a price of some sort. Good luck with the sale though.
  18. Only following your lead mate! Haha sif I tell you Jer :P didcha get them from brake west as well? top notch! Yeah I did but I had a set for braided lines that was supposed to be made but they f****d me around
  19. yer i would say its more like 3200 at 100kmph the celica has a taller 6th it does rev quite alot you should get 650k's out of the 55 litre tank (with 2 lites left) i do alot of fwy driving 3200 rpm on factory size tyres (195/55/r16) With 205/50/r16 you sit at 3400 rpm at 100km/h in 6th gear. Since Celica is taller it would sit lower (closer to 3000rpm) But he never mentioned anything about the Celica
  20. ah damn ! was hoping u wld rock up so i can ask u abt modding the shifter bearings =P What did you need to know? Like I said if I can make it I'll just come to the meet :)
