The reason why not many choose to upgrade the rear ones is because 1)They don't do much in these cars 2)The jdm options are fricken expensive. A set of decent pads is all the rear end needs. Edit: Just had a look at the dixcel rotors. Close to $600 shipped to your door just for the rears :o . Reinforces that they are very dear.

I was bored and had both the tyre and rim separate so I measured both on a bathroom scale. 16 x 6 Sportivo rim = approx 8.5kg Toyo Proxes T1R in 205/50/r16 = approx 8.0kg Looks like its time to look for some lighter rims when we have a toyota meet ... agian ? ;) Not sure mate. Maybe start up a thread and go from there.

I'd rather go the Mahle 12.3:1 pistons. Just a bit more streetable i think. 13.0:1 is race fuel territory? Let's see.. A internal overhaul would go good with the pistons ;) Cams, ecu, etc..

mine is exactly the same. Had them for a while now, 2nd hand. But I kinda don't think about it anymore. It used to bug me at first but not anymore. Perhaps it's the oil in the struts itself. Perhaps it's too thick, so slower rebound?

Daryl, you've probably have already checked 1010tyres to check the speedo difference with the different profile, so I won't go into that. On my stivo I've done what you are thinking of doing. I went from 195/55/r16 (Bridgestone Turanzas ER30) to 205/50/r16 (Toyo Proxes T1R) and it's fine. I believe its beneficial to to do this as there just a bit less sidewall flex, but you also keep ride comfort (less bumpy compared to 19s). Plus you get that extra little width; so you can give the wheels a bit of camber and keep the contact patch the same size as before. Just make sure at that profile it has a high enough load rating for your car. Also you'll be less likely to be caught speeding as you'll be going a little slower than indicated on your speedo ;) Hope that helps, Andy

Minor updates. Received some Royal Purple gear oil, which will go in during my 60k service. Then there's other minor cosmetic mods: This ones for John B) And I was bored so took a pic of the gearknob lol (trying out the dslr :) ) Oh and my spare on the car <_< :(
