  1. Great day and nice to meetup with u guys in TOC.

I'm going bak to NT performance to re-tune and re-dyno my car as the figures show i gained 1.4kw from a short-ram k&n and magnaflow exhaust compared to my previous dyno 103.4kw when i was stock.

Simon said my fuilds were running to rich .. i think it was bc the filter was taking in too much hot air.. injen cai should b installed this sat so hopefully the problem is all fixed ! :(

oh yeah will upload pix from dyno day soon!

:lol: reading that post is like trying to crack the davinci code. i only really understood half of that and the post wasn't even really that long.:lol:

Yeah. let us know how it goes. if the 180 goes anything like the 200sx (S15) then you have no chance. i got my ar$e handed to me by my friends stock s15

yeah i got wooped by my mates s15 spec r by about 2-3 car lenths lol .. and that was dropping the gear ratios perfectly into lift  :o

  4. From my experiences with exhaust systems...I would say a race pipe will undoubtedly yield gains, however it will come at a tax. With the removal of the stock muffler, when the car is under load, you will lose a fair amount of torque, more noticably in the bottom end as a result of the absence of backpressure. When the car is NOT under load however (ie, only 1 person in the car) you will see gains accross the band, moreso in the midrange and top end where the restrictions of a muffler stop the car from breathing like it could.

Basically i am saying, in ideal conditions, free'er flow = more power. This is why the race pipe has more effective application to the track (hence the name 'racepipe') as motor racing is generally performed in the higher RPMs to maintain peak output.

    WELL QUOTED. :)

    i agree B)
