  1. Just want to find out which spring is actually better for Sportivo Corolla? Kings or Pedders? Seen a lot of u guys on Kings, Anyone use Pedders? I know they both lower around the same but which one is stiffer?

Rumors say pedders copyright king springs n if they cant do the job they bring to somebody else to install ...

I think kings springs are more well known for developing springs for any type of car, new or old.

  2. u only need about half a can guys ...

i sprayed my caliper with about 3-4 coats each with about half a can left over..

take this advice from me.. do not use 2 jacks to jack ur car up for a short cut

yes my baby fell on its **** while 3 wheels was trying to hold it up..

ummm ... what u need is just tape.. lots of news paper ... grease remover recommended.. i didnt buy a grease remover but i used sand paper and a cloth to clean the caliper which helped heaps..

Make sure u clean your caliper properly or else once u spray the coat on u will see patches that the paint doesnt cover.

If u guys plan on using a jack it will take ages ... it took me from 1pm to about 9:30pm ..

any questions feel free to ask me..

hey good boyz, whaddaya reakon about the idea of using blocks of wood (just like in movies when the wheels get stolen!) and did you use a gloss coat? What about the paint type? THe high temp stuff or caliper stuff?

i guess u can use the bricks or the blocks of wood .. but ull need proper tools to take off ur wheels .. if u guys are using a jack den ur better off doing 1 at a time bc wen u take off each wheel u push alot of force towards the car to make it rock back and forth.. just make sure the car doesnt lose balance n drop like mine :o

  4. It is also hard to find a Caltex station that offers Vortex 98 with the 4cents discount in the Illawarra and i usually have to fill up when i'm in Sydney.

That's because they don't exist Zee, all Woolworths Plus here don't have Vortex98, only normal Caltex do. So I fill up with discount whenever I'm in Liverpool or Heathcote ;)

the VISA dicount is only until the end of the month too I think

Would be good if they kept it on perminantly...

You're right Dylan, all Caltex stations that offer Vortex 98 in the Illawarra are not affiliated with Woolworths :( But at least we get a share of the 50 outlets in Sydney and Illawarra.. the VIC/WA boys are not as lucky as us to have tasted Vortex98 power :P

yeah i been tasting the vortex95 .... taste just like unleaded but u pay 5-7c extra

  5. Yeah dun go for Nankang.. ring around the tire places get quotes...

    www.yellowpages.com.au

Ask about Nankang tires they will tell u how shocking they are.. i've experienced this bc i was about to purchase Nankangs.

Mate has it on his rex and they still new but he says he is still slipping in the wet and has lost alot of traction.

They say Nankang tyres arent rotatable, which means u'll have to get new tyres again after 10,000-20,000ks

Better off putting out about another 50-100 on top to get other top brands.. shop around good luck!! ;)

  6. I use to use Optimax and thought it was great untill I did an ECU Reset and started using BP Ultimate.

After about 3 or 4 tanks I noticed saignificant differences in response, feel and economy.

I paid $1.38 for 55 litre of Ultimate the other day and I am not going to consider changing as when you consider that 95RON fuel at the time was $1.34/litre, that is 4c x 55 litres = $2.20.  Sorry, I couldn't be bothered altering my patterns for $2.00 a week.  I'd rather buy 1 less Coke at work to save that much....(more actually, that'd be $2.50 I save)

i paid $1.48per litre the other day =(

i've heard within the next 6 weeks petrol will rise to $1.60+

By den 98Oc will b at least $1.70-1.75

full tank will b at least $75-85..

feels like these 1.8 litre cars have turned into landcruisers bloody

  7. Yeah i read all the threads on the best fuel.. but everybody has got diff. definitions on the petrol.. some ppl say u only need to put 98octane in ur car once a month to clean out the dirt n fluids.

But the guy that serviced my car n drove it said i should stick to 98 octane and only that no less.

petrol is so expensive that i'd rather downgrade to original unleaded.

  8. mad i work at Honda... so i'm gonna go for a little scroll during my break time.. any1 want 1 as well? $5 per attenna

    -just kidding-

hehe seriously johnny, can you order one in for me?

    ill find out tomz.

should get about 40% off original price.. ill get back to u .

    thanks mate. appreciate it. :)

just dont swing the nun chucks at me wen i hand the attenna to u

  9. Last Friday i filled up my car with BP Ultimate.. $68.00 .. got 46 litres.. i think after this tank im back to unleaded.. why do ppl say ur better off sticking to BP ultimate? if u guys have any good response den i might consider refilling with BP Ultimate.

I know it is better for the engine.. but i dont think i get more km'z out of the tank.. power just a little bit extra.

  10. whats a good remote starter & alarm for the camry?

are those items on eBay good ?? <_<

    go for viper ...

    cost u about 700-$1000

dun go for the 1z on ebay .. i've experienced it b4 .. they adv. with so much stuff on dem but wen it got delivered here my installer said u need to pay extra to get engine start ... trunk release etc... so u have to pay extra for relays n modules to get it working properly ...

Buy the 1z at the shops.. cost abit more but with life time warrantee.

On ebay they sell it for 100-300 ... installations will cost u about another 300-500(including engine start).

Works out to b nearly the same as retail .. any stuff ups u gotta send via air back to u.s/asia.
