  1. I only kept the photos of the black Aurion as these are the pics I used for photoshopping. The other photos I had where of a Presara with G-Max wheels but I deleted them. I posted the photos of the black Aurion on the forum earlier. Here's the link: http://au.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/inde...showtopic=12322 Ah yep, seen that one, Did the guy say it was lowered as well assumingly so.. and if said by how many mm's?
  2. yeah paint protection is kinda bs, especially if you planning to keep your car for only a short time. Thats still a good price 41k, depends where you live, I know Melbourne you have to hagge pretty well to get it down to that price... As for demo's I wouldnt usually buy one if it was a sports car as I know being a car not passed the 'break-in' phased, it would have been thrashed around alot by prospective buyers seeing what the car can handle/do. But as for Aurion dunno could be ok...
  3. I could have got them cheaper If I went with a cheeper tyre. I got Kohmo KU31, they are supposed to be a good value for money performance tyre. I got them from http://www.jackbakertyres.com.au/ The person I spoke to there was also very helpful and sent me a few photos of Aurions with 20" wheels fitted. I did'nt mind paying a little extra for good quality service. I ordered the wheels from the store in Adelaide on a Saturday, they where drilled to suit on the monday and turned up on my doorstep in the N.T on Thursday the same week. They were packaged very well too, not a mark on them. Danny where you based, can you get any rim/tyre package cheap? Mkay: If you can, can you post up the pics of the aurion's with 20's, just would love to see a range of different types on the car...
  4. Those rims are sweet :) how much did you get those for? and whats the width of the rim? 8? 8.5? Yeah 27kg is pretty heavy but hey you don't buy a Aurion for Sports performance anyways... you make it pimp :P, As for air intakes, yes it can be a problem if they are oil based filters, and Im pretty sure KN's are definately. Cops usually pull u over for the inspection if your car's looks call for it. e.g. dumped too low, too many stickers / lights etc. Im thinking speedy cheetah at the moment in 20's bbs styles. hopefully it would have a nice dish. so might be looking at 9s if possible... (attached is a pshop example....)
  5. yeah im a bit skeptical on this, I know that the aurion intake is pretty free flowing, so its an I dunno for me. You can be the first to try and see if it makes any different tho....? Also nice one getting 20's do they fit straight in or do you need to make mods to the guards etc? Also which rims did you get ? photos? Im looking to get bbs style ones put on when the car comes in next week.... Cheers,
  6. Cool would be interesting to see how it goes!.
  7. They are all not the same, yes bosch may not be bosch but there are brands which show their quality over another... My friend has a philips HID kit and I compared it to my yumcha brand one and his one was so much brighter and more even. We are both at 6k. Mine was so bad that in the rain it was shocking, I rather have philips crystal vision halgens instead... So this said, my advise is do the research. dont just buy anything bcause its 100 bucks.
  8. from what ive been told and read they are H11's Which kit are you after? I looking for a good set of HID, on the lines of PHILIPS, SIEMENS, BOSCH, MTEC, PIAA, BJUNION etc. I had a Pair of sh*tty chinese branded ones when I had the skyline and took forever to warm up and let alone was dim.... :(
  9. Quote: "but as a day to day family car with heaps of grunt, it does an excellent job" Agree good review, In my opinion its a nice car, but doesnt fall to the performance category, as the quote said, its got a family car spirit. The liberty on the other hand I still think its a different category of car, its a more smaller car, smaller engine 4cyl etc so I cant see the competition. Not praising Subaru or anything, but the car has been refined through the ages, how many years has subaru kept the shape and interior of its current model...? a 200kw Zr6 is probably the peak of the mountain for me... and cant wait till my car arrives :)
  10. Umm good luck with that... If they are still giving you the poor result. Find one day when there are lots of prospective buyers, and come in and complain in a voice people can hear
  11. I interested in buying a 6k kit, a 5k kit would be more ideal. I will be getting my Zr6 Aurion so would the kit fit to this??
  12. I have yet to try these fuels on an Aurion but from My experience... Best to worst IMO is. V-Power Racing (Shell Optimax extreme) Caltex Vortex BP Ultimate V-Power Synergy 8000 But I am to assume that everyone is going to be different, I know some of these fuels they say they are 98oct but in a test I read a while back ago some of these fuels dont even hit that mark, 1 fuel from What I remember actually read 95-96 octane. I think it was the V-power.
  13. I feel your pain, getting such a lemon of a car. But im sure you would be just unlucky out of the batch you got such a sh*tty unit. BUT.... with the stains and crap already in the car and in a NEW car, im a bit skeptical that this car is an accidental lemon.... I think its someones ignorance/fault down the supply chain that you ended up with this. I totally agree with you that Toyota should have given you a replacement after such a short time with the car. If I were you if Toyota doesn't get back to you, I would get some regulatory body to sic'em. From my point, what would satisfy me, is that toyota should take back this car and produce a fresh one, but in the meantime they should give a car to borrow. Also, be reasonable, Not all toyota cars come out like what you got im sure many of us here are happy with their toyota... and that with every manufacturer there are always bound to be the bad luck bunch who gets a lemon.
  14. Not saying they were cheap or worth it going through toyota, but just saying there is the option to put an overlay of protection if your worried about color fade damage etc. Toyota has gone to save costs and have not included any form of protective coating on their newer cars from what was told. So just bear that in mind. Im sure you can get it cheaper elsewhere etc.
  15. Yeah I can just picture a FWD car towing something like 1.5tonnes with balding tyres up a steep hill.... :(
  16. No problem mixing them both, and if you looking at premium all the way you'll only get the benefit after a couple of tanks or through freeway driving. If your a city driver then not much difference there. As for the headunit For something like 60 bucks you can get from Toyota parts a Double Din to replace the OE unit then you can get a premium dvd/monitor unit to put in. And yeah black is a bitch to clean :P, keep it waxed regularly and should be looking mint for longer. Though there are products out there that help protect the car. At toyota when I put down the order for my car, there was some offer of a protective coating, did you get this offer as well? Cheers,
  17. Hmm maybe the true octane count from BP to Mobile are similar, I find Vortex to Optimax running the smoothest for me. I tuned it on a Apexi FC running on a Z32 so I had heaps of mapping points to play with but still...
  18. Guys, bear in mind the premium you pay for Optimax xtreme over the standard unleaded fuels at times the difference may nullify the KM savings themselves... Though the Optimax class of fuels tend to be better for your engine. Also before the comign Zr6 im getting I had a Skyline R34 Turbo. and noticed that though my car was tuned for Optimax type of petrols, Synergy 8000 was the crappest, my engine was pinging (predetonate) constantly...
  19. Waiting for my Zr6, although i got mine through employee discount, the dealer had one specced to what i want in stock and asked Toyota if they could release this one to me, waiting for that confirmation, and if so should get it in 1 weeks time. Otherwise they will have to produce it and means i have to get my hands on the batch number and see how it progresses...
