  1. I race a Mazda RX7 and own a KX-S Kluger AWD and I have to say you would have to be a totally farken useless cuunt to roll one of these cars! My Kluger handles amazingly well, but hey I only hold a lap record for RX7's at my old local track and build cars so what would I know compared to some ***** wipe magazine peanut

    I agree fully RR

Its Funny how we have so many Rotary fans on here now, I use to own and Race a placid RX2....OR 2... For over 10 years or so. Rick Shaw Showed me how to go around corners really fast on the circuit, I remember spinning onto the middle of the grass on the dog leg at Oran Park the second time I was in the car with him, I freaked a bit when the tail of the car overtook the front as it got air born on the corner it was like it happened in slow motion and when we hit the grass side ways at speed I thought this is going to dig in and roll ....It didn't it slid even faster...did another 360.... stopped I looked at Rick and said are you OK he said you learn by your mistakes and if you don't do that you are not trying hard enough!! The car was full of grass clippings as the windows were open....It was pretty funny we were both covered in them. I selected first gear and continued the day a bit wiser and getting use to the newly installed limited slip diff.

Moral of the story It takes a far bit of real bad attitude and instability to roll a car on the flat, add grass then bitumen or a gutter, high speed, and a knob behind the wheel with a attitude and you might just get the Wheels result!

Have any of us rolled our Klugers? NO :)

As Andrew has said The Wheel story has also been covered in other posts on hear over a year ago.... My view has not changed we are very happy with ours, I would hate to drive it every day its too big and lofty, that's why I still have my XT....Funny the Wife says the same about the XT She calls it a Truck! :(

  2. For $35 buck on a dyno day it is a lot of fun! Dynoing my RX-8 getting boring until I turbo it right?

Kluger so far: BONE STOCK; 20000km, due to have oil change and service. 16 degree day, humid, raining. 95 RON BP fuel. 35psi stock tyres. 3rd gear run. VDC off.

I am sure there is more kW if I change oil and use 98RON!

If its like my Subaru a oil change will help greatly as your Toyota ECU may have been retarding the motor on the Dyno, 98 would definitely help on the Dyno but maybe not so much in the real world as its not tuned to it.

Subaru has a thing called the "Advance Multiplier" if the car is not happy you wont get good results.

I have found for constant good results use the best fuel you can afford, change your oil to the best you can afford regularly, I get my gearbox oil dropped nearly every second service as it goes through hell most days...but that's just me

Look up you would have more power than 85% of the cars on the road...the weight is a different issue...LOL :)

  3. Hi there. Welcome.

Low rev under engine loading is not the usual condition where the engine pings. Engines usually pings at high revs.

The Toyota people cannot find ping because there is no DTC (diagnostic trouble code) register in the ECU.

So it is either: it is so rare that it does not register a code or you are imagining it - like you are listening to a bearing noise that sometimes I hear. Pings usually assoicated with lost of power - do you have that?

If you thin the AFR (air fuel ratio), you will get more ping. The Kluger is increadiably rich in mixture that I don't think it will happen

    So relax.

My Old work camry use to ping its little head off at low revs on very hot day.....It eventually will kill your motor in the end if left untreated, lucky I can watch the Knock correction working every day on my Subaru....I know its all working like it should, running premium fuel may only be the quick fix if that better get it checked by a pro maybe not Toyota....Ha Ha :D

  4. Go for flat 6 sec then we can put it against a stock XT

Still low 7sec passes are great for such a big vessel....I thought my PC Delta Dash was amazing...IT IS I HAVENT SEEN IT REPLICATED LIKE MINE ANYWHERE ELSE...

Funny Holmesie was the first to comment on my Gadgetry in another forum over 3 years ago

RR Your gadgets are Amazing....V-Box and Scales etc Very Nice

  5. A kangaroo collided with the side of my Kluger last night - has stove in the passenger side back door  <_<

    Sorry to hear it mate!

Its a bugger Andrew they think they can beat cars and the end up jumping into the side of your car...Happened to me twice in the same year 2003?? once in the Berlina going to Tuff Truck and once in my Outback near Mudgee I was the passenger in in both occasions...Not that it would have helped there is nothing you can do....it all happens so quickly!!!!

And the XTL in 2006 on a cruise........That was like a space invader! a little bugger which Bye Evo saw happen

  6. No Love on the Easter Holidays with the V14 Disk its starting to play up after a less than a year of use, could not Route properly! Any one else have this problem?

Inserted real V13 BACK IN NO PROBLEMS

HI, CAN YOU TELL ME WHERE YOU GOT THE V13&V14? I DOWNLOADED THE V14 ISO AND BURNED 5 DL+ DISKS BUT WHEN I PUT IT INTO THE 6 DISKS SLOT IT SHOWN DISK ERROR. IT DROVE ME CRAZY. I DONT KNOW WHICH IS WRONG THE MAP ISO OR THE DVD BURNER OR DL+ BLANK DISK?

SORRY MATE TOO MANY QUESTIONS. THANKS

    THANKS A LOT

V13 Came with the car and v14 now has problems with it I think that the copied disks are missing some small bits of information required to make them run 100% I noticed it about six months ago in having trouble routing. Besides you have a different car to us. I dont think all the disks are interchangable from model to model??? Not 100% sure may be its the quality of disk as they get very very hot when in use.

thank you for your reply. if you like can you give me a copy i will pay for it! thanks

Only a matter of time till V15 is freely available. :whistling:

Ahh No Love, but I can tell you you only need a normal DVD....A DL disc is not required for V15...That is all :)

  7. My Subaru was covered with small hail dents took a week to fix and over 5k Insurance paid that bill... I would never pick it....for Sydney people they are called Dent Busters at Tarren Point....They cost but they are one of the best

  8. I haven't rolled ours yet had it in some nice positions though off roading going through the mountain's with a tailor on. Lots of body roll but no roll over, I did feel it laboring fully loaded up steep hills for the first time on our Easter trip.

I added Roll over protection in the form of a chair that I forgot to pack

  10. Ah THE lOVE, Is it that time of year again....... :D

Im off on a weeks camping trip to Bendethra and then down the far south coast....no time for love but let me know if any one else finds some its bound to pop up any time! B)

  11. I've a August 07 build one too and it split around the 2500km mark.

I've now almost got 28000kms and decided back then not to get it repaired in fear the dealer my create door squeaks in the replacement process. Possible door squeaks or rattles would bother me more than the split.

But your posts hear will prompt me to raise the issue at the 30000k service.

    Thanks for your posted info.

I think I have one of the first Klugers in the Country, ours are still fine what do you look for and where??

  12. Kluger is half the price for a bigger car.

The Lexus Sat Nav and audio is the same as in high range Toyotas. In fact the one in the Lexus ISF has an inferior screen (IMO) than the one in my Kluger  .

MORE SEATS IN A KLUGER AS WELL The luxus family doesn't have any friends that's why they are not required!!

  13. Best bet is to check the air pressure in your tyres regularly and fill up for free at the local servo.

The day we start paying for air for our tyres at a servo it the day I buy a compressor... :D Some things in life are still free!! :D
