no it should fit... i have a genuine one, and i found it didnt sit in properly at first, and with a bit of pushing and shoving and breaking clips, it fitted perfectly... so maybe give it a bit of a push and pull, but be careful not to snap too much... paint is always an issue... it often doesnt match up 100%, but yeah maybe after a good polish it might cut it down to be similar to your car paint... give it a shot i reckon... if its still ****, take it back to your painter... part of his job is to make it match, or else whats the point?
