  1. Postman arrived Current radiator has a split where the filler neck is, mechanic said I should get one. So i had no choice. Also had the the day off so did the black housing headlight mod. Started off with these 3/4 way through Completed Sorry about the ****ty pics recently, brother has taken the SLR with him om holidays.
  2. I'll come to the show and shine on Saturday. Finish work @ 12 so i'll pop down after. Also for the interstaters; bring ALOT of worm clothing, it can get freakn cold at night!
  3. 6 days later and I've bought another set of wheels. Unbelievable. Those BBS wheels are now for sale, I need to fund some other (car related) projects. Cheers
  4. And then i bought new wheels They are BBS wheels of an old school BMW 3 Series. Numbers are: 4 x 100 14 x 6.5J +30 Intend on using them for track days. cheers
  5. Just got my clear indicators from South Africa (lol, don't ask) Dirty car needed a wash, so here's a random pic cheers
  6. I should be able to show up on Saturday for the meet and bbq. No go for dinner as I have work in arvo/evening
  7. Yeh new engine is better than the previous. Not a huge difference, but it: -Doesn't consume oil -Doesn't blow any smoke -Gets up to operating temp faster -Sounds alot better with the headers fitted So, very happy with it overall.
  8. hey man Do you have that white Sportivo thats lowered and has red calipers? If so, bloody clean man. I think I spotted you leave on tonight (Thursday). I'll give you a thumbs up next time
  9. And installed Got this for it a few days back cheers
  10. Have organised payment for the motor and freighting company. The engine itself is the same 4AGE 100kw small port version but has been fully rebuilt with new internals (balanced/shot peened). Comes with gearbox and loom too. My 4AGE has leaking valve stem seals so it consumes a considerable amount of oil so a replacement was already on the cards. Also have these parts ready to go on -RS*R headers and front pipe w/ mandrel bent cat back -Bigport camshafts Will most likely be buying a Buddy Club chipped ECU as well but see how i go with it all first cheers
  11. hey KHIEM, We did a trip from Melbourne to Mt Gambier and that was around 550k's each way. All four of us were still on our P Plates and were divided with 2 in each car. The idea was to swap drivers after each pit stop, so around every 2hrs of driving or so. Worked out fine and didn't run into many issues at all. Just obey the signs like BKS said and plan your trip; where/when your breaks will be held ect And if this is of any reassurance: i did this in my Corolla which had 270,000km's and a slight engine problem which saw it consume some oil.
  12. Got some interior pics now that i got my fixed back bucket seat installed It's a replica of the RECARO SPG fixed back seat but made by Malaysian brand SSCUS. Checked out their website and it seems all good. Very happy with it overall. Seat is fitted to super low Wisteria rails. Made in Japan and straight bolt in fit. JDM AE92 Corolla floor mats. Was bought as a set of 5 including floor mats for the front as well. TOM'S gearknob and Honda EK type R gearboot modified to fit. Other random shots Thanks for looking. Any questions, fire away.
  13. KYB's are great, i have them in my car (older model Corolla). 650-700 is WAY too much for 2 shocks plus fitting. If my memory serves me right, i paid under $200 for all four shocks fitted. Surely there are some other mechanics you can go to? I would recommend suspension specialists as they will get it done faster, faster = less labour costs. Also try to supply the part, so purchase the parts from say Burson's/Repco to save on any mark-up costs mechanics will charge you. cheers
  14. I'm running KYB Excel G's (short stroke) struts with custom wound Kmac springs. Springs lower the car 45mm and haven't had a problem. Cars an AE93 Corolla
  15. You good man Andy, I will be sure to buzz him when i have the parts. Time to start ordering seals..
  16. Hi Andy, Thanks for the heads up and i'm one step ahead of you: have bigport cams already. How much did it cost to have your head ported/shaved ect ect? You can tell me here or via PM, i'm not too fussed
  17. Finally got round to getting shots of the exhaust They are RS*R 4-2-1 headers and front pipe from Japan. X-Force muffler and Catco high flow cat i bought locally. Won't go on any time soon as i'm in the process of buying a Small Port head and having it worked. Will be aiming more so at response moreso than outright power. 4AGE's don't make much anyway. Time will tell Thanks for looking
  18. This is on an older model Corolla. Anyway they are: Tom's Racing 15 x 7 +35
  19. Just checked and it's a Canon 450D
  20. mine has problems with its valve stem seals Looking at buying a replacement head and having it worked. My headers and Corolla floor mats arrived from Japan a few days ago too
  21. i had to do it To other news: parts arrived from Japan. yay
  22. Thought i'd post up some noob DSLR shots. I really need time to read up on how to use these things properly With a Friends STi coupe. Hot car. Oh yeh my RS*R headers are in. Working on getting a rebuilt head with porting/seals done ect, more on that next time. Cheers
  23. hey man Got this towards the end of last year, you had the panda AE86 correct? If not, i think im tripping out haha thanks for the input guys
  24. +1 for Adrenalins Awesome grip, competitively priced and a great all round performer.
  25. Thanks guys! japerd Yeh i found it abit odd, i did tell my mechanic to pack it grease when he installed it and when i checked: yep filled grease. I hit the front sway with abit of WD40 and it has helped. Now for the rear.... Allex Will probaly catch you at the "regular" Friday carwashes one night.
