  1. I've noticed that all the Toyota SUV/4WD except Kluger have the option of a TPMS. Surely this should be available on the Kluger? Does anyone know if it can be fitted to a Kluger? It is available now for Kluger (genuine) !!!!!!!!!!!
  2. It comes on to reach preset temperature faster. Once teperature is close to desired recirculation it will switch automatically off. On normal day it goes of in 1-2 minute. Very hot day up to 5 minutes. I dont see why is that issue.........most of other brands with full climate control do the same. Solution..........Dont use Auto mode.
  3. I know. No speed camera function. Whereis did include camera's in ver.15 but NOT for Toyota (Denso) version. Sorry (well,i am)
  4. I might try this myself if I can figure out how to access the back of the stereo. Last time, I used the Honda USA spec device. http://www.crutchfield.com/S-44ws9qhgCW2/p...-Interface.html Here are the DIY instructions for a Honda Pilot. It should be very similar for a Kluger. http://www.hondapilot.org/forums/showthrea...mp;pagenumber=1 Give it a go yourself. You can get inteface from $180-$280 Here is how i done it: http://au.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/inde...9&hl=crotoy
  5. How much was the dealer installed option? Usually between $500 - $650
  6. There are few Audis,Volvos and BMW models without Ipod connection/control..........at least we didn't spend 100K + for car without I pod integration
  7. You should not mix RETAIL and FLEET price because there's big difference.
  8. Every brand/model have price difference between entry lever and top model 1/3 to even 1/2 price. What's not important to you is to someone else. I have Grande and i am "spoiled" with all those "gimmicks"...........and added some more.............. (my missus claims its waiste of money, but who cares :D )

    Handbrake

on steep hill you should use both transmission and handbrake , but, handbrake MUST hold by itself. Tell your Service Advisor that he is full of s..t !!! They come bit loose from factory but at Service it can (MUST) be adjusted..........mine was !
  12. Interesing :o Accorting to YHI (importer of Enkei's) ,Hankook and my wheel/tyre supplier (where i buy 50 sets of wheels a month) they are good fit. As much i can see they overhang 5 mm each side of wheel lip. I would like to be able to roll it of the rim but with SUV handling that's not an option :D (I know what you mean.....i've seen it happening once from my old track days)
  13. rims 8.5 x 22 tyres 285/35-22 Price ? As i work in Automotive industry i paid way bellow RRP...........but i believe is should be around 3.5 K

    tow bar

It should be same price or less ;) (genuine) If you are in Sydney i may be able to help you .............
  15. ECU if programed by Factory to register accurate speed but to display more on speedo. Odo IS accurate............checked few times on M4........also checked with Toyota IT.
  16. They are set to show 5-6 km too high. Any dealer knows that. They dont need GPS.They can use IT (Inteligent Tester) which will show them accurate speed. I tested mine and it was 5 km off ( IT vs gauge) Why would they set them high delibrately? That doesn't make sense to me. It does make sense...........all vehicles built 2005 and after MUST have margin..............ask RTA for details
  17. You are right but with all honesty 90 % of Kluger buyers will newer go off road (Kernel or Stockton beach should not be counted as off road). Personally i had not had any issues on sandy beach with 22's,and if i planned using car for off road i would not get Kluger. But, in case i decide to go off road it takes 10 minutes to swap back to stockies. BTW i would not count Kluger as soft off roader.........even Toyota calls it People mower...........and 60% sold are FWD. IMO Subaru Forester is more off roader than Kluger..........
  18. As i had 19's,20's and 22's i can say tthat you can feel difference in weight of different wheels. My 20's were 3,5kg heavier (each) than stocks and there more effort needed for stopping...........same for acceleration. 22's are just 1 kg heavier (Enkei's) than stockies (incl.tyres) and both braking and accelerating is pretty much same as with stockies. There is no win-win situation in this game.............as i have 20 Klugers in my work shed i can say there is difference in performance between models. Best acceleration..........KXR AWD Best handling KXS AWD. 2WD are too "boaty",AWD's handle much better.
  19. They are set to show 5-6 km too high. Any dealer knows that. They dont need GPS.They can use IT (Inteligent Tester) which will show them accurate speed. I tested mine and it was 5 km off ( IT vs gauge)
  20. I went on 22's mostly for bling B) B) . I'm not planing making Kluger faster on better handling....................went thou 2 WRX's and spend enough money to make them faster and better handling.
  21. this weekend i will zap few.................. BTW nice to see another ex-Subbie person driving Kluger !
  22. I have 22's on my Kluger with 285/35-22's It's 0.8 % of speedo. It bit firmer ride but not uncomfortable. More stable in corners and sharper steering. Car on photo has 265/35-22 which are bit to narrow for that size of rim making them easy to gutter damage.
