  1. Thinners will not affect paint if done wise..................wipe fresh paint with soft cloth and thinners..........as soon thinners are wiped, wipe over with wet shammy or similar. Do you really think cars come spotless from factory ?
  2. First try to shake well tin of paint you got with car. apply small dot on paint on some hidden spot (lower part of skirt).Give it 15 minutes to dry. It should match. If still wrong it should easily go off with thinners. You mentioned your car was keyed.............first try to buff it of and see how it comes.Just touching up scratch can make it looking worse..............
  3. Not on the centre console; to the right of the steering wheel, there's a switch to adjust the brightness of the dash board lights. Next to that switch, is a blank. Whats a IPF wiring harness? Try to read my previous two posts again............KXR FWD has 2 blanks (console and right of steering column)KXR AWD just one-right of steering wheel. IPF is brand of driving/fog lights.............one of the best ones you can buy. They sale separate wiring loom with switch.........it is top quality,no soldering-all is plug in looks great and has fancy switch. see http://www.arb.com.au/ipf-globes-and-accessories.php
  4. I've put this picture somewhere else, but here it is again. KXR dont have that blank spot (if he's getting KXR)
  5. depends...........on FWD there's extra blank spot behing gear lever.............on AWD only empty spot is one you mentioned where dealer will fit you clearance sensor switch. I would recomend buying IPF wiring harness with switch and mounting it next to steering column.
  6. That's where they were - both front and back... B)
  7. Attached are a couple of relevent pages from the manual. Hi Mikeboy, Toyota insists there is no such manual available to public (I take it they mean owners). Would you be good enough to post the title page only ("Front Corner Parking Assistance System Owner's Manual") which I could onpass to Toyota emphasising the words "owners manual" and not a service manual. It would help my cause a bit (I simply want a full set of manuals for my new car). I fail to understand why is Toyota so uncooperative if there is such a manual and reading the posts here, it seems obvious it is available Regards There are manuls available to public ! They come with every fitting kit. Once sensors are fitted instructions are stored in the glovebox (As requested by Toyota) That how it is done where i work................
  8. I have set of new 19's rims & tyres of my Grande for sale .............i fitted after market 20' If interested make me an offer..........
  9. Just get front windows done (20% to match rears-ilegall but ) Dont bother waisting money on protections..............
  10. Anyone fitted IPF 900 XS on nudge bar on their Kluger ? Any pics ?
  11. Looks there was some work done to the part of dash (radio swap or ???) by dodgy technician. Take it back, they must replace clip with new. I have 10-15 new Kluger going trough my workshop weekly and really never had loose screws found, and i know for fact how good they are put together from factory. I was never big Toyota fan,but years working for Holden made me realise how good Toyota is build.
  12. CroToy

    dvd audio

    No RCA provision........ :(
  13. Make sure you dont go to wide (275 max) because there is limited space between back wheel ans strut. BTW i have 275/45-20........its same rolling diameter as stock.
  14. seeing only levels 0-5, I selected 2 it was on 0 Nope, its Fujitsu Ten Cheers Not sure about that when I interrogate the dvd player it says its a denso 16b2 or something like that. Not sure if they have different versions. Cheers Says on the screen Denso 1670 disc info v06.10.10 as per screen DVD player is Denso, but Sat nav head unit is Fujitsu (i had it out when trying to work out IPOD connector) OK. Double checked today at work....... Sat Nav unit and DVD are Fujitsu Ten/Eclipse. Its same Company (BTW owned by Toyota)..Fujitsu deals with Toyota and few other Car manufacturer.Eclipse is for retail only. Software on both is Denso. Map is Sensis. Toyota Service Manual has only few basic optional settings (language, mic. sensitivity) but none of things we are interested. I will keep digging......... Any news nope
  15. I have Telstra Next G on my Grande and it works fine.
  16. Yep, It will integrate steering wheel control, reverse camera etc. Some sockets are different but that's not big issue. Surround.............thats the one.........when you will have chance check it on KX- R or KX- S
  17. Dont think it is cost effective.......... AVN and Grande unit are same base from same factory. AVN costing 2K + steering wheel harness $150 + new dash surround is bit too much for IPOD and few minor features. Sound is same, bluetooth is same.
  18. Installed few ANV 6000 at work...........you can get harness to integrate steering wheel. Its basically same mashine like Grande on (same factory) buth WITH Ipod connectivity, more sound and video features. They work great, have more features than Grande unit.

  20. Yep saw all the Diagnostic screens every one is talking about, we need more info on, I tried Toyota again today with out any luck...still trying time will tell I will try Service Manual and will post if there is any good info............
  21. Nope There is no harness listing on Toyota parts list. Seeing it have empty 12 pin slot at the back of the unit i contacted Fujitsu (I work for Toyota-went official way) but their answer is that Unit is NOT IPOD compatible. I will try to find out what's 12 pin slot for........................
