  1. The US instructions are not the same for the AUS model they are different just so you are aware Lucio. And mods need to be made to brackets.
  2. The only way water can get in is if you take the car through a deep puddle. I have been in torential rain with the TRD CAI and had no problems. Hey Lucio will you want help fitting the CAI.
  3. Yeah and I am sure that happpens :P
  4. Just remember Guys if you change your rims you are in danger of making your insurance void. I would check before you change them, it could be an expensive mistake. As for me I am leaving the wheels standard, I personally don't mind the wheels that are fitted to the car, I would rather invest in good tyres (not that there is anything wrong with the ones fitted already). Besides after spending lots of money on my car already it is time for a rest. I may unichip the car (powerchip are a waste of time, and screwed me around for months) as I would rather have performance in the future.
  5. Stauff sorry you are wrong the grille beside the sterring column is not for the reversing beeper. This grille is for the Aircon it has a thermostat with a hose hanging off it so the aircon knows the internal temp of the car. The beeper is actually mounted to the back of the instrument assembly (speedo/tacho). You would have to remove this assembly to get to the beeper.
  6. I spoke to DBA brakes today they will not be releasing a rotor till at least June-July. So as lorman, ilivefor6 and sharmz has my vote......enjoy the car I know I do.
  7. I have had the brakes deglazed twice and the noise comes back fixes it for a short time then comes back. As far as I know they use different brakes in the Sportivo than the Corolla. I had the current shape Corolla (Asscent) and it never made the noise.
  8. I have eibachs they are supposed to be the ones TRD use. They are cold drawn springs not heated which is supposed to be better as they do not lose their tension as hot ones do.
  9. Based on a discussion I had with a Toyota Guy they would viod the warraty on the dash as is running different to what they originally supplied. If you altered your dash then had a problem with say the speedo circuitry on the PCB they would not replace it as the dash would be non standard. I will leave mine as standard even though the other one looks great. I have the means to get them replaced but I do not want to take the risk......now as for all the other mods I have done....
  10. I got my policy print out yesterday as they had made a mistake I am paying around $580
  11. Bummer mate I must have got their last set as for photos they didn't say any thing about taking photos....
  12. Ring up Vision they make the kit as far as I know. $200 is not a lot of money any way in the scheme of things.
  13. Mind you for the amount of time and expense the cars are like women...need I say more
  14. I have not had the rattle/vibration and my car has 15,000km. Only brake noise I have has is in reverse which is a ****. As far as Strathfield car radio installations I would avoid them like the plague. I had some stuff installed by them once and well lets just say they will never see me again.
  15. I did not get the barrel as it does nothing. The stivo requires some back pressure or it loses power.
  16. My Father in Law owns a Panel Shop and advised me not to get the stuff he believes the stuff is a total rort especialy for the price. Just get a decent polish like megulars and keep the car clean. He has seen a lot of stuff in his years so I will trust his judgement. I got fabric protection once for my car and it did nothing. You can buy scotchgard in a can which does the job any way and cost way less than paying for the stuff. Ming has a huge markup on their products to the point of being criminal.
  17. Exec6speed have you told them about your mods as it would be interesting to see what there responce if any would be. I had to switch companys because of the mods I have done to my car.
  18. I had it painted the same colour as my car.
  19. With the mods I have made (have not tested since installed the mandrel exhaust) I was getting almost 106 kw at the wheels. I got an 5-8 Kw gain with the CAI so on Toyotas specs I would be churning approx 148 kw with the exhaust a should have a further gain which should pul me over the 150 + kw range. But untested at this stage.
  20. Well the spriiiiiiiiiings have been done, but also required a caster bolt so cost more. Will have to try some corners to see how I go. But it's winter again in Melbourne so it will have to wait.
  21. Let me see.....Yes um ahhhhhh Red yes red .... :P :P I only wanted red they go faster or so they say......
  22. I pay $700 but am rating 1 over 30 and work for an insurance company so all mods that I have done are insured as well.
  23. I agree with exec6speed. I am married and she knows I am going to modify the car and won't stop me.
  24. Bit Racer the unit can be little bit of a hassle to fit (I know I have installed two of them) if you need any help let me know.
  25. Getting them done at GT Suspension in Moonee Ponds Melbourne
