  1. hehe Hey Kev was at dinner on church, then max brenners. spotted yours too, was thinking if you went to K or something. Looking nice man
  2. hehehe it is quite entertaining going through this thread... Camry sportivo and Aurion sportivo would probably be me(camry) and my mate(aurion). Both lowered with rims? yep, both lowered.... from memmory they had aftermarket rims too// nice cars! Yeah pretty sure that would be us. Don't think I've seen another pair (black camry sportivo & black aurion sportivo) drive around together Thanks dude!

  4. Sounds like a fun day planned guys. Have fun, drive safe, but have fun.
  5. Sounds awesome dude! Yeah I figured I need a little more on the lower to mid end especially for start offs with our heavy cars. I mean, if you do experience a significant difference (for the better), it definately wouldn't be a waste of money. It's gonna take me a while to be able to get all these things now since I'm need to keep money for other things lol But thanks for the experience-sharing Oh and keep up the good work! hehe
  6. Awesome build thread dude! Keep up the good work
  7. Heya Andrew! Nice ride there dude! Just wondering on your thoughts on your full exhaust system that you have done..... Was there a big difference? I did see that the curves on the dyno sheet looked pretty clean. Is it worth forking out the money for it? Cheers dude!! Keep it up. Go the 5 Speed V6!!! Although I wish it was a six speed and better ratios hehe
  8. saw a really nice black current model rolla hatch with a nice lowered stance on sexy buddy clubs on my front lawn last night. Hot offset!!!
  9. Congrats! on the purchase, hopefully it is still going well for you! I've got a camry too and you can't go wrong with them. Just look after it, and fingers crossed it will look after you.
  10. Sorry to sort of contradict myself... But driving manual with the V6 is oh so good! The surge of power and keeping it in gear! OWH! I will get depressed when i need to replace the clutch later down the track.... Hopefully enough money to get a heavy duty excedy But yeah..... prioritise and think long term.. I should also suggest going to a car yard looking for a manual camry and giving that a go... that might determine if you should do it or not Cheers! EDIT: In addition, if only the box was a 6 speed, I would say do it. But the stock ratios on the car sometimes don't feel that good. I think 2-3 or 3-4 might be a little too spaced apart. Well this is if you plan to keep the car with stock power. Then again, it ain't a race car. Sorry, don't hate. It is just things that are popping in my head
  11. Hi and a late late welcome! Good luck if you are still planning to convert to manual! I drive a manual V6 sportivo and I have driven my dad's V6 altise. for the money to convert it to a manual, in my opinion would definately not add up. Yes I do drive a manual and I love it. But if it were me that was converting to manual from an auto, I'm pretty sure the conversion would be stressful as hell and trying to locate things will be difficult. As princesspeach has mentioned, probably save up and do turbo or supercharge mods. But hey! That is me! And that is YOUR car. So pretty much do what you choose to do. I just don't want you to regret it after the process, after spending so much money on it. Which is also why I gave my opinion on it. But if you do! once again, good luck and tell us how it comes along! Cheers
  12. Personally, i would just stick with the standard setup and put in a K&N panel filter. And mod the intake system after the airbox as some have done on the forums. As in remove the piping and resonator after the air box and run piping so there is less restrictions. I have a 2005 V6 sportivo. I ran an SRI, beautiful intake noise, better response... but heat soaks like crazy.. in hot days and after 20-30 mins of driving... I currently run an enclosed CAI and as mentioned there is a little lack in low end torque, but better top end after 3.5K or so depending on what balance you want... that is all I can say hahaha good luck Too much money spent on something that won't be as effective... Just the noise is better...
  13. As mentioned above, no there is no RCA output as expected from stock head units. And mentioned as well you can get a line out converter. I have gone this way myself, and it ain't bad. Converted front speaker wires to LineOutConverter to a 4 channel Amp. Bridged the rear channels to the sub and front channels to the front speakers. I chose to convert the front speaker wires to the LOC so I can later Amp the front speakers for sounds quality. However you can choose to use your rear speaker wires to LOC if you want. All in all, the best solution if you want to keep a stealth, non-modded look and you want to make use of your radio/cdplayer and your steering controls. BTW, I have a camry sportivo which is the reason why I have gone this way. The standard speakers in the car can handle a little bit of extra power. But that is probably because the sportivo speakers are upgraded from the standard...say altise range. But as mentioned, the best way to go is to get a new deck. Way better sound quality if you are picky!
  14. hahahaha hey boys and girls! I remember my corona endevour. I'm pretty sure the interior is similar as I had the 2.0L S 83 model but it was the same shape corona Yes the surround is really realy scary... It will be abit hard to explain but from memory: The plastic surround for the deck is tucked behind the top dash section (where the vents are) So you would need to pull the bottom out first and kind of pull the whole thing down and out. And yes, the plastic is connected to the surround (in reference to the plastic behind the tape deck) In this case try to remove the knobs first, so it might be easier to rip out. Might be a little hard as well if you have the A/C button at the top, but removing it will be pretty much the same way as mentioned. Once you have removed this, you will probably need to cut the plastic which was for the tape deck, so you can then house your new deck. These Toyotas can handle alittle bit of excessive force, as I had done so myself. Note also that there is a them rubber sticky strips going around the whole thing, so it might be a little sticky and hard to get out. So again, excessive force is recommended. But make sure you plan out cutting the plastic backing for the tape deck knobs as the pocket and the plastic backing are all one piece with the surround. BTW this is from memory and it was 3-4 years ago when I had my beloved Bright yellow Corona. Hope this helps and good luck! If not, i'm pretty sure there are still plenty of coronas in wrecking yards to get a replacement if it all goes wrong. But yeah the only screw from memory, as mentioned, is the one where the ash tray is. Once you have removed it it will be easy to put back in and take out as it is just all clips around the frame.
  15. If only the azura came in manual <_<
  16. yeah, i've also ran 36psi as well. depends though, sometimes i feel that 36 is a little too pumped and it feels like that the tyre contact could sometimes be a little less. But I'd still think 34-36psi.
  17. Hey there! Congrats on the new (not so new now) rims. Don't know if this is still much of a help, but if you are on a budget then a set of Kuhmo Ecsta tyres would be pretty good. Plenty of grip (in the wet as well) Though I would assume that these tyres would be at a lower range compared to the ones mentioned previously. I wouldn't know the price as I have got them as a package from TEMPE Tyres in Sydney.
  18. DON'T POKE ANY HOLES YET!!! sorry about the caps but yeah, don't make any holes yet. I've already ran cables for my amps etc. and I did not need to poke a hole. I cannot remember which one exactly and it is too dark atm, but it would be the passenger side near the strut tower. I can check for you and tell you tomorrow =)
  19. Well good luck on your sportivo muffler!! (if you haven't got it yet) Regarding the custom "Y-Pipe" is there a fairly noticable gain? and if so, which range do you feel the increase in pull? Thanks in advance, just that this Y-Pipe thing is kinda intresting as I would like abit more pull in the range. Cheers!
  20. About the "TRD Camry grille" you are after, I don't think you can really find it anywhere anymore. As I have tried looking on ebay aus and us, it seems that they do not make it anymore well the ones that most of us are after. They only have the chrome ones that you have seen. probably the best thing to do is (as mentioned) to get a genuine camry grill and cut the middle out etc. because at least you know that the grill will fit back on no problems cause it is a genuine item. But good luck! they've stopped selling the "TRD grille" like a year and a half ago on the aus ebay sites. Sux cause I want one too lol
  21. Well good luck on finding a genuine kit! talks about getting out there and source parts from wreckers would be ideal. Sometimes spending all that money, it might be better grabbing a whole sportivo from the market. There are quite alot out there. also for that money, you would get the sportivo extras. Cause buying a genuine brand new kit/fitted would probably cost more Or even sourcing parts from the wreckers and fixing the kit (if there are scratches/damages) and then spraying them, etc would cost more as well. I'd say in the case of keeping your car and looking for a body kit, just get an aftermarket lip kit. Are you in Sydney by any chance?
  22. ummm... just a thought, was speaking to a guy I bought roof racks off one time and he said that after he put his metalised tints on, his reception was poor. Don't know if that would help. But if everything was done properly, the radio reception wouldn't really change. *shrugs*
  23. From what I know, as mentioned above. The sportivo's had the scuff plates, but only the front has the metal scuff plates that say sportivo and the back is the normal plasticy things. Only ebay I know of sell "camry" scuff plates.... i think there was a illuminated and non-illuminated version, for those ones, the front AND back say camry. hope that helps
  24. Yeah My "a" was missing from the toyota badge and my Camry badge was on its way off. So I gave the parts department a call and they quoted my $35 for the toyota and the camry badges.... So now my car just says sportivo V6 and i just buffed off the excess sticky stuff from the left and now its all clean and shiny! just to let you know Wouldnt be worth 35 bux anyways.
  25. yeah, I've got a Camry sportivo with a moon roof 2005 model and I've got a rattle randomly over bumps as well on when opened still trying to hold certain parts of the moon roof to isolate it as well
