  4. thanks mate, i'll have a look at it this week end, i'll let you know if i brake any thing :P i got another track day coming up, just wanna prep my car abit. where do you get redline products? repco? autobarn?
  5. agreed, TRD rear sway bar is the best money i'v spent. it gave the most improvement above all.
  6. yeah the koni's are rebuildable, i was just wondering if the c-one's are.
  7. interesting,, i'm currently looking for adjustable shocks also... and like you i'm not really keen on coilovers. are these rebuildable?
  8. has anyone DIY changing the diff, manual trans, and power steering oil before? for a 1zz corolla. i just need to know where the drain holes, fill up holes and how to check fluid levels. any thoughts on whats the best oil's to use for some spirited driving? wil
  9. looks really good... i wanted to paint my headlights too, but it dosen't have the same effect as the facelift,
  10. yeah very bad idea, if you plan to keep your car stock.... lol you should see my car, i got my car in feb this year hoping to keep it stock and save to get a Evo IX (it was stock for about 3 weeks)... i'v spent more on my car then what i have saved!!! + i'v taken the car out to a track day and planing a second track day. i haven't bloged my car yet, but i got all the details/pic's in the Registry under 'wil_rolla' not that i wanna give you guys 'bad ideas' or anything, :P
  11. dude, i have performed a search and what i came across was not exactly what i was looking for. only usefull information i came across was when tayles stated the CAI works better on 2zz than 1zz but still good on 1zz im looking for a comparisn between SRI and CAI on a 1zz and average power gains. thank you.. ive taken my 1zz on the dyno with only cai and sportivo muffler and it currently puts out 83.9kw atw there is the average power gain wow thats one of the best dyno runs i'v seen for a 1zz,, 83.9kw, got to be happy with that.... i would be wraped if i got anything in the 80kw's... what cai are you running? TRD?
  12. lol,,, thats some pretty weak eye lids... i ment some big mean eye lids so it looks like this > lol
  13. i thought that the levin and the sportivo kit's were pretty simular,, whats the difference? sorry i have an acsent with no kit at all :(
  14. i must admit that i not a real big fan of the new corollas but that one is pretty nice. all it needs is some eye lids to top it off. ;)
  15. yeah i got the same door sills, and come to think about it it does look abit orange, like a really hot, bright, fluro orange. how did you go with the double sided tape? mine wouldn't stay down so i used some contact adhesive... and she ain't going no where now :P looking good mate.
  16. this is wat i m doing after the last time i ruined my car.. i cant believe i make everything worse.. ended paying the same mate to do it, and he was shocked as what happen to my car.. usually if u purchase the professional gear, the brand selling the buffer will give u a tutorial workshop and a set of video instructions on how to use it. if u purchase something from the shop (like superworks from supercheap or something off ebay lol) and try and DYI that way, then troubles will be coming your way. conventional buffing machines are fragile and need alot of practice, but thats not the case with the meg's dual action polisher. you can either choose the option of attending a workshop and/or follow the step by step instruction on getting it right. the G220 dual action is designed so that paint burn will not occur - hence one can literally say "I got told it was easy so I can do it" :) It has been the professional detailer's No1 automated polisher in the Asia-Pacific region because its literally so easy, unlike some of the ones out on the market today. anyway, hope your car wasnt ruined that badly! and hope your paint was a clear coat. i recently repainted my front bar, and i'v never buffed before. i got a cutting compound and did it my self and it turned out really good after a polish, but i did it all by hand, no machine tho, nice and slow, small section by section and very careful around edges. i was very scared of paint burn. it turned out better then what i expected.
  17. yeah as SB said i think that your hight is determined by the hight of the springs. i agree the 35mm drop isn't that low. but i think the sportivo body kit helps them look abit lower aswell. but i pretty happy with the hight i got now, cause i freqently carry a full load. are the koni's hard to install? they need the OEM strut mounts is that right? and to adjust the rear's is it as simple as unbolting the bottom and twisting them or do they have to come compeletly off? (i think this will be the decider for me)
  18. i'v read somewhere that koni reds are also adjustable, but you have to take them off and twist them, true? (what a pain <_< ) and how effective is their adjustablity?
  19. nice to see your collection of your 'ZOO weekly' mags. lol anyways, your cars coming along very nicely, and fast.. should post a pick of your orange door sills, i just did my door sills too, but mine are red. man your hid's are bright as!!!, i didn't know that they made that much of a diffrence
  20. Yes KONI yellows will leak and do leak. :( They are rebuildable but I think the price I was quoted wasn't much less then new KONIs. I'm currently trying to decide whether to replace my KONI yellows with KONIs or KYB. The KONIs are very good compared to stock. Stock shocks have lousy rebound damping. You will notice the difference just fitting KONIs with stock springs. Cheers T. so what do you plan to replace your koni yellows with? koni reds? or do they have another range that i don't know about? thanks for the reply's, SB can you tell me the price diffrence between the koni red's and yellows, as my funds may not allow me to get the yellows. (budget is about $1000 mark fitted) and is it true that the reds are softer then the yellows, even with the yellows on the softest setting. some guys say that yellows are more likely to leak. and what other brands make adjustable shocks that are rebuildable? Blistein? KYB? Tein? The difference between reds and yellows is the yellows are the sport range. Reds are OEM replacement with some dampener adjustment. Haven't bought a set of reds for a Corolla before lol. Reds will be a lil softer than yellows. As for leaks maybe after years and years of use. Then you can get them rebuilt!! you can rebuild Bilsteins but they are lil more expensive. KYB's maybe the top end stuff but the entry level stuff is just OEM replacement. Teins dunno about. I will find out prices for reds tomorrow. so koni yellows will leak, whats the average price to get them rebuilt? and can any suspension shop rebuild them? or only koni specialist/dealers? i thought that koni's are better then kyb's sorry for all the noob qestions, i just wanna know what i'm getting my self into, and the best way to spend my money. it's a shame that it's not one of those things that we can try before we buy. we can only give them all our money and hope for the best. :(
  21. nice work, you gotta love real carbon fibre
  22. yeah i used similar lines aswell, but i was 1 gear up on nearly all corners, i tried 2nd gear for some corners but before i exit the corner i'm almost hitting redline... i wish i had that extra 2000rpm... and that extra 41+ kw. i think that when you get better tyres you'll do alot better, and our time diffrence will start to show. :(
