  2. so is it the 17th or 27??? bit confused any how i'll try get work off
  3. last sunday of the month sounds good to me, providing it's not too late, cuz i got a long drive home and work the next day.. but last sunday works for me. ;)
  4. sorry for all the fuss, it was me that brought up the whole idea... and i'm not picking sides, i only brought it up cause you guys asked for our opinon,,, i'm all up for a cruz and beer's (beers for sure :D ) but i thought it would be a good idea if we as a group did some club events every now and then, like skyline aus and nissan slivia do. so that way we can find out what really works on our cars and what dosen't. and track days are very social, sorry for all the fuss,,, lets just drop it and move on ay, wil
  5. i too have done the same in my old supra, went into a corner too hard boke too late and back end started to swing around, i must admit after that i drove home like a granny too.
  6. i couldn't agree more... you go for the fun of it and better yet it's legal and in a controled environment!!! yeah it's not cheap, and yeah insurance won't cover you if you have an accident, but whats the point of having spent thousands +++ on your cars performance and handling if you can't really test it... it's not cheap, but it's cheaper then getting caught doing a mountain run and getting your car impounded for 3 days and a paying $350+ fee just to get your car out. not to mention the label "hoon" on your record. i'm not saying it's for everyone, but there may be other guys out there like me and bonbon who are really interested in pushing our cars in the right enviroment, i speak for my self- but i'm in it for the experence, and to learn more about my car and it's handling characteristics, and also learning to be a consistent driver. just my thoughts ;)
  7. i agree track days would be more fun,,, oh and i was late cause i got lost,,, lol,,, i ended up in williamstown,,, took the wrong exit...
  8. no hurry mate,, just curious to see what they would look like. ;)
  9. good turn out yeterday... kolour.... seems like every one there was really into cars and had done afair bit of work to there cars aswell, maybe we should consider a legal drag day/night, they hold legal drag's at calder park on friday nights, and they also do some at heathcote i think? it's only a small fee (like $50 per car, not sure tho) and that way we can see what works on our cars and what dosen't, with real time slip's. just a thought... plus i would love to see 20-30 corolla's rip'n it up down the 1/4,,,
  10. sounds good, let us know how you go, if they work or not... and some pics would be good..
  11. poor guy!!!! you can't help but feel sorry for the guy,,, but you also can't help but laugh....
  12. just this morining on my way to work i noticed that the seat belt light didn't come on, and then my drivers side seat belt gets jammed and needs a good tap before the buckle goes in. once its in and locked it's fine and it comes out easy enough, it's just going in thats the problem. when i push in the button to release the buckle it jammes all the way down... anyone had this trouble before? dose anyone know how to pull the drivers side seat belt a part? wil
  13. i got my non turbo 94 supra about 5 years ago and i pay'd $22,000, 5 years ago they where going for about $25+ even over $30,000 just for a non turbo. i sold my supra last christmas for $16,500, as is. so i think that $15,000 is pretty reasonable, for a clean car, you may find other supra's for cheaper but you get what you pay for. so just be careful. try www.carsales.com.au theres always afew supra's there, anyways, good luck mate and you can't go wrong with a nice clean supra. ;) wil.
  14. should we post up a contact number??? just incase someone dose get lost and can't find the rest of the group.. or decides to meet up later and we have taken off for a cruise or some thing.. i'm more then happy to put my number down. just a sugestion. odd are i'll be the lost one :P
  15. I agree.... Everyone's entitled to their own choices/actions... Also the guy is from the UK, so their laws may differ from ours (just a guess). c'mon if australia permitted us to drive around without the cat, don't tell me you guys wouldn't do it... i agree too.. how do we know that it's not some crazy track car that his talking about,,,, anyways i say let him do as he pleases cause it is his car, and as for the law, i'm sure he knows what his doing. but IMO i'm not a big fan of loud exhausts, and the fumes would be awful... i warm my car up every morining in the car port and it still stinks of bad fumes.
  16. Awesome mate thanks.... so what would say if you rears were dropped another 20 mm??? as per the Super lows? well KYB shocks are stiffer then standered shocks, (i'm still on standered shock atm), so i don't think you should have any problems. i'm only on lows and i have heaps of room so another 20mm would sit nicely and still have room. i wish i got super lows at the back now too. i remember SB telling me that he had super lows in his old sportivo and he only ever had it scrap once, and that was with a full load taking a corner at high speeds. give it a try and if it dose scrap then get the gards rolled out. ;)
  17. i'm running on pedders low's which is the same drop as kings, and with the same offset and same size tyres as you, and have plenty of clearence.. even with a full load of adults no scrubing as of yet.
  18. ohhh,, it also depens on location.... see, i live in the bush and have a garage,, it helps.
  19. looking good, especaly the turbo :)
  20. i'm gonna be one of those gramps driving a modded car, :D :D
  21. IMO i like the raised bonnet, looks very track car. but needs to be abit higher. how did you do it anyways??
  22. sorry guys i can't make it..... date doesn't work with me. :( hope you guys have fun anyways, and be sure to post up results ;)
  23. i wonder if you can make one up your self, make it simular to the cusco one but bolt it onto the strut bar instead of the strut tower. so that way we can have both. :P i might give it ago on a weekend when i'm not working. how strong does the metal have to be to do a DIY? might go to bunnings and have a look and try to weld something up thanks for the pic bonbon
  24. damn... i thought that this was going to be a good update, but not so good. i know how you feel. there's only so much you can do about it, i hope it turns in your faver. good luck anyway, such a nice sedan. :(
