  1. either you have a defective dashboard, or all VWs are like that. Maybe you could try dyna matting the dashboard.
  2. Cool 18! Happy Birthday. I hope you're celebrating it big. 18 and 21 are the ones to remember.
  3. I've just come back from my holiday in Sydney. Drove up there for the week. Did anyone spot me? :) I saw the biggest LOLCAR while I was there. A dark blue pre-facelift bone stock hub capless corolla accent with TRD badges everywhere and a sportivo turbo badge on the back. It was parked on Murray st near Star City. My girlfriend and I were laughing at it and checking it out until she noticed that the owner was sitting inside. At that point we walked off briskly.
  4. Man, you don't dream very high standards. You can get a TRD Aurion for as cheap as $38k. Used mind you.
  5. Let me guess.....you have drilled metal pedals? Have a go at a Renaultsport Clio's clutch, the 172 has a pretty heavy clutch. Second gear in that thing is great. nah uh, just plain old black rubber :o. It's the fact that the clutch pedal surface is small and has hard edges that makes it painful.
  6. gorgeous?? You better be a chick. I am most def. a female, don't worry ;) photos, or you're a boy :P
  7. Hey, I get that hazy crap on my lens too. I thought it was normal. It appears straight after I wash the car, and then fades away.
  8. sounds like mike to me prefacelift eh? and to saj LMAO so many immos out there ahahaah :P was like me when u waved at me at hp carpark i was like "what the fck?!" aswell ahahahaha hahahah yea that great :) good times
  9. Just my thoughts here but I think the wait for a TRD Corolla may be even longer now. Toyota's forecasted profit for this fiscal year is taking a big hit, in comparison to last year's. IMO the last thing they will be doing is splashing more funds into R&D on a TRD line, considering EPIC and the TRD Aurion's no. of sales.
  10. shiet, i've been told the same thing that it's hard to get reception. I think the metallic tint would really screw it up.
  11. in before "use search function and 2.5 CES catback"
  12. Here you go, buy this http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2002-2003-M...sQ5fAccessories
  13. Hey guys, I've got a similar unit in my corolla. Just like to ask, what are you guys using for TV antenna? Are you running it outside the car or internal? Are you using a 12V signal booster?
  14. Having borrowed my boss' TRD for a couple of weekends I can say yea it does whine, but it's not high pitched. it sounds like "vvvoooooo"
  15. Having a manual, I'd actually prefer a semi-automatic. I drove a full automatic throughout my Ps and find it relaxing, but boring. Manual is fun in a few circumstances, but for the most part the novelty wears off rather quickly (especially in peak hour traffic). I'm a bit of a hobo and I like to wear thongs on the weekends, but I find it hard to use the clutch with thongs so I take them off. Using the clutch with bare foot gets goddam painful after a while. I've driven the IS250 a few times with the paddle-shifters, they're good fun. And what's with all the comments about falling asleep unless driving a manual? Lol, you can still fall asleep at the wheel of a manual, the likelihood is probably just as high. It's not like you're going to be continuously shifting while driving at 100.
  16. Interesting... I shall dig around at work and see if it's true. :)
  17. unfortunately no, i've lost that function. the headunit doesn't have that function.
