  1. Well my Michelins lasted 48,000kms and that's with some reasonably hard driving. With normal driving, I would expect these tires to last anywhere in the 50,000 - 60,000kms range.
  2. The tire choice came down to a couple of factors. The size was due to an issue with lowering the Aurion plus upgrading to 20 inch rims; you will get really bad scrubbing. BONDIE talked about it all here: NEED HELP ON LOWERING INFO ABOUT RUBBING The brand of tire was due to the fact that the tires on the Aurion need to have a load rating of at least 93 (650kg per tire). Not too many choices out there in that profile of tire, and in that spec, it can get pretty pricey.
  3. The long story: I lost 3 points on my first year of driving on my P's so that took me down to 1 point. Then I got my Opens about 6 months after reclaiming my 3 points back. Then I lost 3 points in my second year of driving, and then 4 points in my third year of driving. Though with the timing and everything, that left me with 2 out of 12 points left on my Opens (because the first 3 points count within a 3 year period), but as of January 18 this year, I have 5 points left on my licence now. The short story: I have lost a total of 10 points during the course of all my driving. I now have recovered some points, so I now have 5 points left on my licence. All these points were lost in my old Camry. I have not lost any points while driving my Aurion.
  4. Hi, Am new here. How do I download these service manual from Rapidshare - do you have a link? Um. Is that a serious question? On this page, I can see my post with all the links, then I can see those links quoted in two more posts. I don't mean to be rude, but that is pushing it. Hey Dj - Maybe he mean some of the link if not all are dead. Azza Well yes, a link or two may be dead there, but what is stopping someone from clicking on the link to 'Camry Stuff - Gen6 Manuals' which can be seen on the first four posts on this page. At the very top of this page, that post quote even says that the manuals are accessible there. Someone with a bit of initiative would click on there first. If you did, you will find all the manuals still up and working.
  5. Photos just don't do it justice. They look WAY hotter in real life where you can actually see the full size of it and see the deep dish.

  7. That definitely was a great turn out tonight/last night. But what was even better was that we now have some new faces at our meet. It's good to see our group slowly expanding. Pretty much what Gav said. I can't say this enough, but those rims and the stance of your Aurion is way to hawt Rowan. I really need to pick up my game and mod something on mine.
  8. Exactly. This was the point I was trying to make in post 34 above.
  9. I'll be there... to envy said Eibach goodness.
  10. This one has been mentioned here before: TRD Aurion Pro-Factory Xtreme (Pro-FX) drag car The only thing Aurion about it is the shell. It's powered by a 2JZ-GTE running at a about 50+ PSI through a Garrett GT60. I've seen it in person (with a Solara shell on it) and damn it's wicked. Just a few photos (video below): And here is a video of the last run (first photo) filmed by someone else. This was a 6.9 second pass: Please wait a few seconds for Video to Load!
  11. Claude Debussy - Claire De Lune Yiruma - River Flows In You
  12. Thanks. Yeah, I accepted your request so I can expand the network. If you delete me randomly in the future while cleaning your list, no hard feeling. LOL to the robot reference. Long story short, I was chatting to someone on Zoosk though Facebook, eventually handed out my number and next day; BAM! Spam text messages. Luckily it didn't continue. I'm more aware of spam bots now.
  13. Nothing out of the ordinary, but still looks good. Hehehe. I like to help out where possible. If I make it in as the first response, it feels even better. Yeah, that Photoshop turned out quite well. Certainly looks like it really is that colour. I would love to see the Aurion in Racing Green; my favourite colour.
  14. Yeah, apart from the Toyota Chook, I have a Cockatiel. He isn't overly messy and it's easy to clean up after him. Here are some photos of him checking out the local wildlife: And, I have seen people with Cockatoo's in their car as well. They are usually more tame and sit still better than Cockatiels.
  15. Most likely yes. I can't find your Facebook or any public listing (old skool MySpace, LOL), so you have the upper hand there. Actually, with the amount of information I have listed about myself on the net, I'm surprised that my identity hasn't been stolen together with my car. Wow, we've really turned Michelle's thread into a good discussion. Well I guess, all that was needed was the first post. May as well use the bandwidth for something. Keep everyone else entertained as well.
  16. If you can't provide evidence, it isn't happening. Creepy much? LOL. I'm not THAT bad
  17. LOL. Fancy that. Mine is way to hyperactive all the time. If I put him in my lap, he will jump down onto the floor, crawl under the seat, and before you know it, will be on the rear parcel shelf. Then will start chewing something up and it is difficult to stop him while you are driving.
  18. It's not really stalking if you are just reading though something that was intended to be read by others. Anyways, I should be fairly safe since your way over in the ACT.
  19. I've mastered eating Asian food with chopsticks while driving. Good thing about driving an auto, lol.
  20. I have a pet Cockatiel that likes to go for drives in the car. He always sits on the dash though and usually runs from side to side. He likes to chew at the demister vents though. Haven't had issues with cops yet. If I ever need to keep him out of view or if he really annoys me by getting in the way, I put him in the little area where the speedo is. Once I had him sitting on the top of my head rest and I accidentally put the front windows down. Drove for like 5 seconds before realising. Now I take better caution. He stayed fairly still though which was lucky.
  21. That's what the Club Lounge is for. This is like the only other site (Facebook being the other) that I visit on my computer. If it weren't for this site, I wouldn't need a PC.
  22. Don't forget our newest member 'laurenml'. She has an Aurora Gold Aurion as well. i've already pm'd. technically im not new.. just havent had time to sit here and reply to posts.. i try and to keep myself in the shadows. LOL. So true. I just noticed your join date. Well you're new enough to the Aurion forum posting, so that's enough for me. Hehehe.
  23. What steering wheel controls for A/C? Man, what a gipp. I thought they would have included it for the ZR6. I guess I never really payed attention. So it seems only the Presara earns the luxury status of getting those controls.
  24. I just find this all this a little bit false. Did you like strip out your interior or something? It's just odd that a 1440kg Camry with 145kW can go 0-100 faster than a 1615kg TRD Aurion with 241kW. Surely stock to stock comparison, that is a difference of 175kg, but with those figures in mind, I wouldn't imagine it enabling you to go 0-100 around the 5.5 second region like you mentioned. You sure you have the right size tires on?
  25. On that note, with mine I find that when the pollen filter is dirty (doesn't take it long) the bad A/C smell usually occurs. When I say that, it is during the start up of the A/C and not just the air in general. Don't know how that all works out, but the combination of it seems to amplify the effects.
