  1. Hi all, I have a major problem with my 04 Avalon. The car starts and runs fine, the headlights work & the hazard lights work. NOTHING ELSE ELECTRIC IS WORKING!! Radio, indicators, mirrors, windows, odomiter, trip computer, aircon, wipers, etc all dead. I didn't think any one fuse had control over all these, and all the fuses look fine. I did get a new deck fitted about 3 weeks ago, but that was fitted by the best crew in WA (in my opinion) and these guys don't make many mistakes, plus it has worked fine for 3 weeks. This car is my bunky, my daily runner. Desperately needed while 67Rolla is off the road. I brought her cos I thought she'd be reliable... Anyone have any ideas how to fix this??
  2. No update on the paint as yet. But AJ is working at the panel shop full time now, so wants to get the Rolla done and gone. Still a month away as always... :P
  3. OK still months of finished but have some updates. The hole for the gauge cluster and the radio/demister controls are getting plated over and these are getting cut in: Radio is a definate but I may change my mind on digital or analog (white Moon Equip) gauges...
  4. Beautiful car Michael, great find Doug :P Would love to see more pics of the body.
  5. My first car was an 85 Corolla My second car was an 85 Corolla :D Then I had a 1991 1ZZFE V8 Soarer. Then I upgraded to a 67 Corolla ;) Just got an 04 Avalon. I like Toyota's.
  6. I tried to convince the wife (who wants a muscle car) that this could be her project car. But as we just brought an 04 Avalon, have a 67 Corolla, a lanos and an eb falcoon.... She said no What engine (model and ltr) does this have??
  7. **UPDATE** Car was all painted and put together, but AJ (the guy doing the job) was not happy with the lines on the doors, bonnet, boot lid and guards. It was good, but not perfect.... So the whole thing is getting re-done, and this time the engine bay is gettng resprayed as well. We are not rushing this time so it's looking like another month or two. AJ has very high standards, and is hoping the Rolla will be an example of these high standards. I thought the thing looked good, but as this is a love job and planned to be used as a demo car for Wheatfields Pannel & Paint Goomalling, I don't want to make him rush out a car he is not 100% satisfied with. He is not happy for me to put up any current pictures, so I won't be putting up any pics for a while but I'll keep you all updated.
  8. One of the votes was me . I had one lined up, but changed my mind. Useless car for the type of travelling I plan to do (Up North). I need a car I can be confident any mechanic can fix. I brought an Avalon instead. Newer, has criuse control and $5k cheaper...
  9. What a beast!! I had a 1UZFE powered Soarer, great engine. That wagon would look awesome in orange with a white roof... just thinking out loud.
  10. Latest pics, should be back on the road in a couple of weeks! And here are the vinyls :D
  11. Well, I've learned something new... Thanks
  12. Looks good with or without the wires. What is that thing in the window??

I've always hated the look of this body shape, believing it to be a bad change from th late 90's body shape (the ones with the dual round headlights). This however, changes my opinion somewhat!! Great kit & colour sceme!
  14. She's also the oldest one I know of B) You can have her for $10,000 when she's finished!
  15. Can't say I'm upset about the value of the KE10 going up I got mine of the son of the 80 something year old lady who owned it, for $1200 For a 67 with little rust & a 3K that aint bad!
  16. Car is looking like it will be at least 3 more weeks to complete The wheel fits perfect
  17. Sounds like a lot of fun ahead. Just take it slow, do everything perfect so you only have to do it once. Can't wait to see pictures!!
  18. I don't think she'd like the trip to Summernats, but she may be going in Motorvation..? The plan is to keep close to original, but with an old fashion racer tweek. I will probably be looking at putting in a 5K or 7K later on down the track. We got any cruises coming up in Perth (at least 2 weeks away)??
  19. EDIT: I know she doesn't belong on here. But I would love to go on a cruise with all the new rollas, no-one will look twice at them! :P Just kidding...
  20. Thanks, they started shipping the Corollas into Australia in Oct 1966. So it's extremely unlikely she is the oldest, but I haven't found an older one yet!
  21. Hi all, Thought I'd introduce my little battler. 1967 (approx Nov) KE10 Corolla VIN: KE10 - 194XXX Originally a crappy green colour. Was red when I got her. The story is she was brought by a little old granny who then sold her to another little old granny in the early 80's. Then sold to me about 6 months ago. She was tidy but neglected, rad was over 50% blocked! After rebuilding the top end and cooling system I decided to get her some nice old scool rims. She is currently in primer, due to be painted white with red old scool racer stripes this weekend. Later when I build up some more funds she will get a new interior. EDIT: Have found at least 1 older running & registered KE10. If anyone knows of an older, registered Corolla, please let me know (VIN would be nice!). Cheers, Ken
