  1. I get mine tomorrow! Was meant to be today but poor communication has delayed this. CANNOT WAIT! Checked it today, FANTASTIC!
  2. Since they have barred driving with fog lights, i think it stupid. Yes there are lots of commodores with upgraded lights which are blinding, but how about the AU ford? I can guess the oncoming car is the AU just based on how dazzling their lights are. how did this ever be allowed on the road? Its worse than any fog lights ive seen.
  3. A split flod 3rd row would be convinient, at least it folds flat when not in use. They are the most spacious 3rd row compared to cx9 and tribeca, in our opinion.
  4. We looked at the tribeca, and the cx9, we were shocked that the cx9 being so big, yet felt so small on the inside, not sure how they did that. Also the Tribeca 3rd row as so small even kids would find it uncomfortable we thought.
  5. Can you advise which dealer you buy it from? Sound like an excellent deal. I am also looking for KX-S AWD. Will await for your feedback It was nunawading in vic that original quote came from, but as i live closer south, i got it matched by a local dealer, frankston. They were pulling their hairs out to match it though, as it was a fleet deal. (i only pay gst on the residual in 3 yrs!) I think the S is the pick as the grande to me isnt worth the $10,000 premium, as i dont want sunroof and i can get a $400 sat nav if i really want...we get leather, same 7 seater, etc etc. We also hate Woodgrain trin...sorry, faux woodgrain at that.
  6. I'm starting to look at those "Territory" vehicles that buzz around on the streets and think to myself should I have listened to the misses. If you got the territory, you'd be complaining about rust in your vehicle, apparently it is pretty wide spread problem with them, the paint was dont properly and hence paint protection from rust as well...
  7. the tyres wont be any good, probably clags up and therefore no traction left. Wonder if it would have done better with traction Off completely?
  8. The bonding of the windscreen is not uncommon for toyota. Even my dads old Vienta v6 back in 95, it took several trips to the dealer, reported, nothing ever became of it because when they drove it it never made a sound. Around 01/02, i went over a speedhump fast(unpainted one) and i actually saw the windscreen move, when i pressed outwards, it was not even attached on the roof and sides!!!! Had to pay this out of our own pockets as toyota said it is normal for this to happen over time. When the windscreen guy took it off, he couldnt believe how little glue stuff was there, the windscreen simply popped off, whereas a normal one would most likely crack. Try pushing outwards and see if there is any movement? I hope there arent any rattles in mine...
  9. The dac button doesnt do that. Its always 5050. The dac can only be used in 1st gear low, to limit your speed downhill. hence why it is 1st gear only. I dont know if it works in reverse, some other manufacturers DAC works in reverse as well, incase you need to...
  10. I would think the 19's would not necessarily be better offroad, but there might be less chance to slice your tyre offroad on a rock as the side walls are thicker and stronger arent they? Not that i intend to go serious offroading. Maybe some muddy stuff.
  11. Wow, thats a better job than wheels did. Glad everyone is ok. Looks like the tyres are still ok??? They are worth a bit.Roof held up really well it looks like.
  12. Finally, we too have paid deposit today. The KX-S BLACK AWD with floor mats, nudge bar, wiring and swith for driving lights(i have my own lights already), side steps, tow package, bonnet protector, headlight protector, rubber cargo mat, wheel lock nuts(gotta keep those expensive tyres safe), 5 yr 140,000km warranty included as well! $52,000 Driveraway!!!!!!!!!!!! Will hopefully get this within a month! Tried to get them to chuck in the tyre pressure sensors or the tom tom sat nav, but they couldnt...oh well.
  13. DId you change the fog lights as well? Can you guys tell me what type it uses in the fog lights and also park lights. I have a Barina SRI and they use the same H7 in the main headlights and i think H3 in the fogs. I would change the fogs to because i normally use both most of the time, especially in bad weather.
  14. I havent even bought mine yet but the size of those tyres are huge. I found out the price already and even bridgestone couldnt get me a price. Too bad if we get stuck out in the middle of no where and the local toyota dealer dont stock it! I was thinking it might be cheaper to downsize the alloys and get cheaper tyres, probably end up costing the same as 4 new tyres.
  15. I was quoted $550 fully installed and wired up, but then another $160 for aux power for the trailer brakes, im getting that done myself(like previous vehicles) Thats ext gst, so $605.00 including gst, but as it will be novated, i dont have to pay the gst!
  16. I would try to avoid having the need for the snow chains, catch the bus up? I would have it if they scratched the rims... A solution is to get a cheap offroad rim and tyre package with the same rolling mm as the original.
  17. Let us know how you go. I will need to wire it up too.
  18. We have 2 x maxi riders for older kids, 3 and 5, and the baby capsule we have for our 3rd due this september wont fit! It didd in the commodore:( It was 2 inches too wide, so i guess once i get the kluger we will be shopping for a narrower c****at for new bubs. Otherwise, installation is easy if you know what your doing, we see so many people have it installed wrong and you wonder whether you should say anything, as these days, they might take it the wrong way... Worse one we have seen is a baby capsule rearwards facing, on the front seat! tied to the headrests!!!!!! Bright spark that one.
  19. Hey if your in audio, what head unit would you recommend with touch screen and sat nav? I didnt like the one on offer from toyota as an upgrade. Are the speakers any good or should we replace those as well?
  20. Hi just joined the the club too .Just ordered a black Grande with nudge bar , side rail ,beige leather.About a 3 month wait.Has any one got any pics of there black kluger? How does black go with our hot summer? The aircon works really well. I didn't get black because you can see every bit of dirt on it. I had a black Grande for a test drive for 3 days. It didn't rain and I only drove of sealed roads, but it looked filthy when I took it back. The graphite looks cleaner for longer, even though it's not. Once we order in about a month, we were debating over tidal blue, pearl white, graphite, but even though its alot more maintenance(washing), we have decided the black will look the best(If kept clean). Im going to use the waterless wash and garage it nightly, so hopefully i can get the kids involved in doing some of it too! I agree ,black does look the best when kept clean ! I've also ordered the sand beige leather interior with black mats, dont know how hard beige is to keep clean compared to black leather.Any one out there with the beige leather ! I heard its a bit cooler in summer than having black interior. Black does look the best when kept clean; if it was my car and not the wife's, I would probably have gone for black. My wife and kids are good at drtying cars, not cleaning them. I liked the beige interior but got the black because of the carpets, not the seats. Light coloured carpets are pretty much ruined if they get a grease stain. Im looking at the KxS which the only leather is black. Doesnt worry me as this is what we wanted anyway. I better get a water tank installed soon too, to save up water to wash the car with!
  21. I would like to but if its mid next year, then i cant wait that long:( Oh well, not that the kluger aint got lots of go. Twin turbo, that will bring it up to the levels hopefully of modern turbo diesels(hopefully), probably use less fuel than the current diesel too.
  22. Holden was our last car, and they used rain water to wash customer cars, and toyota in frankston also have the same thing, not sure if it is part of their service, but i know ford prior did as well(before water restrictions)
  23. I bet its only time before it comes out, they have done the aurion and hilux, so rav4 and kluger next?
  24. What a fookin' retard! That dealer should be shot for telling you that - AWD on demand applies only to RAV4. Tell me about it, i try to find out and research the cars i intend to buy, and this is always useful, and get everything in writing...
  25. One dealer told me it was fwd then when traction was lost, rear wheels would come into play, but i have since read on this site it is 50:50. Which is what i wanted.
