  1. Danthuyer, i hope they are 4 stud you have ordered-the picture of the rim you posted is a 5 holer What size and how much? I'm thinking of dropping back down from 17's to 16's with a 205/50/16 tyre. I am after a bit more comfort.
  2. I've had 18's, then 17's and now i think i want to go back to 16's. What do you recommend as a lightweight alloy wheel. I was thinking of Oz racing rims or nippon's. What in your opinion or experience is an exceptional road handling tyre. Looking at a 205/50/16.
  3. Shaohaok, your car looks choice bro. I do not know whether you have answered this or not anyways, where did you purchase the rear spoiler and the front lip? What are your further plans with the car? thanks
  4. The coilovers are Hotbits (street). The adjustablity is about 4 inches. Both front and rear. If you have a hoist it is simple. If you don't you have to jack it up, take off the wheel and adjust using the spanners included. Bit of a pain but the procedure is mostly the same with all coilovers. I would not suggest the race spec ones as they will be dam hard. I considered Teins but they are designed for Japanese roads. Hotbits are Australian made and are fully servicable and rebuildable. They only charge a small fee for this plus parts etc.. I will post pictures as soon as everything is sorted out.
  5. Who are you people and where are you coming from? Man your cars are ancient get over them. Greywolfe learn how to spell before you post. The sportivo has a balance of both style and performance so i am happy either way. It has show and go.They are not a race car but push it and it sure acts like one. This was mainly a sportivo forum before you pissers came along. I suggest you guys start your own club/forum as our cars are completely different and this inturn is causing clashes in opinions and comments. You have nothing to bring in the way of advice and experience to owners of sportivo's here and vice versa. This was and hopefully will still be an informative, usefull and related forum where fellow owners share helpful suggestions, experience and happenings with and about our cars. S@#t i've been living under a rock all these years, i did not know that there was other corolla's other than the sportivo.
  6. It's not just about straightline speed, horsepower, torque you 4age morons. It's the whole package. This car still brings a smile to my face every time i venture into lift. I'd rather lose in style than in a piece of s@#T you guys drive. You guys made it this way so cop it or leave this forum. Secasx are you in Syd? if you are i'll see ya on the streets .
  7. Well said E-Gene, Mr2-Zx6r we value your input and everyone is entitled to their opinion, however please refrain from dissing our cars. You will ***** a lot of owners in this forum if you keep this up. The sportivo is a $30000 car, give me $15,000 which is the difference between the Integra Type R to spend on mods and i guarantee that the Sportivo would s#$t all over it on the road and track. I've raced one and yes it beat me...by 3/4 of a car length. This is in stock form. And as for their build quality, are you seriouass Captain Downsideup
  8. Coilovers finally arrived, installed last Friday. Ok if you want my honest opinion about them..here it is 1. Fronts were valved way too hard (i was the guinea pig apparently) when you hit an average sized pothole SMASH! no give whats so ever. Getting them re-valved immediately. 2. There is a period of settling- in of the spring and shock. This means that they creak and squeak when going over bumps, ditches etc. It is at it's absolute worse when the car has not been used for a while ie; mornings. Embarassing to say the least. 3. Height adjustability range is good, however easement of changing the height is a bit of a pain. You would be laughing if you had a hoist. I don't so i am not. 4. They are considerably noisier than factory setup. However, it is only when A/C and radio is turned off that you really notice. Well there you have it. Honestly if i could turn back time i would not change the factory setup. They have cost me a lot of money and time and at the moment little benefit.
  9. Just wanted to know your opinions on the periodical cleaning of the filter on the CAI. How often, what do you use etc.. or are everyones to new to worry about this? I have a second hand TRD filter for the factory airbox if anyones's interested.
  10. When your in lift you really have to stick it in. I have 15000k's on the clock and still find it difficult to execute a clean shift from 1>2. 2>3 is better but still notchy but it does not jolt the whole car like 1>2 when you slam it in!
  11. Just wanted to find out if you guys and gals knew of any places in Sydney that provide tinting that is darker than normal, i want it so that know body can see into the car...and i do not want mirror tint.
  12. Orrock, i have the exact same problem. The rubber is sticking out and has melted. Mine is both on the passenger and drivers side.
  13. Is there no one at all :( I need a part no. from someone who has installed it on their car.
  14. Is there any one in the Sydney region that has fitted the TRD Quickshift? Mine arrived but it will not fit :( Can you guys help me out? I have very little mechanical aptitude Any advice or info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
  15. Looking good influx, the s2000 looks so boring compared to your stivo! I think we have all encountered bad times with epoxy resin..mine involved a boat..lets just leave it there
  16. Looks very similar to the current Honda Civic. I don't know about the new shape, kinda weird looking.
  17. Penrith Toyota are absolute ripoffs I know that Sharmz and a couple of other guys in here agree. They quoted me $540 for TRD CAI plus $340 for S/S. To fit they are asking for $75 per/hr total of 5 hours they reckon. Thats $1255 all up You seriouass!
  18. Yeah, i agree. I mean sooner or later we are going to find out anyway :) I hope so Peekay, ilivfor6........ Ok how much is it going to take $20,$50.. for the love of your fellow sportivo owners don't do this to us!!
  19. Just wanting to find out what you guys and gals would change on our rolla's if you had one wish ie; design, performance, interior. Maybe we can send this thread to Toyota for future development.... on second thoughts they might change our stivo's to electric wind up toy cars that drive all by themselves and the only emission they make is water vapour..and if the A/C is on everyone will have to get out and push it up the hill or they can cut holes in the floor pan just like the flinstones ok time for my medication
  20. metoometoometoometoometoo :) In Sydney right
  21. To the crazy asian girl P plater in the silver sportivo echo on rookwood Rd 18th Feb @ 8.00am, if by any chance you are reading this, how's about dinner and a movie...you obviously were chasing me for a reason....YEEAAHHH BAABBBYYY.
  22. orrock, your right, these babies belong on the track as they can be adjusted and tuned perfectly to suit track conditions. There are three main reasons why i am getting them 1. ride height adjustment 2. both spring and damper are matched correctly 3. fully servicable and re-buildable.
  23. illuminati, i have been scanning the matrix/vibe owners club in the states and the majority are happy with the additional performance that a lightweight flywheel gives, esp a Fidanza (7.5 pounds) made from aluminium. However, from what i've read, keeping in lift is no easier as the revs drop quicker when your off the clutch. This is definately on the mods list though ;)
  24. $220 with Mobile One synthetic, $162.50 without. Excuse my ignorance but how can a scheduled service for our cars vary so much in price dealer to dealer, and some of the stuff you guys had done (tyre rotation, injector cleaner etc..) i did not receive Did you request that these be carried out?
