I would be interested in a 2nd dyno... would be even better if it was the same place from last time to compare from the previous dyno.

U dont need to flat shift to keep it in lift, never tried and never needed to. Like Danz say's, i reckon its dangerous 2. However if it works for u then thats fine, dont think it'd hurt ur stivo but im sure it'd hurt ur clutch. Also from my own experience u dont need to "bounce" or "hit" the limiter to be able to land lift in 2nd, just makes it easier the higher rpm u go but i "heard" (just heard & i dont have proof) that hitting the limiter all the time is bad? Can anyone justify that coz im not 100% sure. steve_g At the end of the day i think its all about ur timing (i usually change @ 8000), and how u release ur clutch. Dont worry u'll eventually get used to it and find ur own technique, im sure everyone has their own i was just reading other pplz responses thinking.. "i dont do it that way?" so i though i'd just share.. just my 2 cents worth

I dont drive a stivo... but basically the same thing. At the drags wen i missed lift in 2nd it was about a .4 sec difference on my time so wat ur assuming Zee is pretty much correct from my experience. IMO i think you would have to land lift in 2nd to get mid 15's unless u had a killer launch or a very fast stivo..........

Yeh it was great. Who ever didnt go missed out, great fun especially wen ur up againts a 11 second supra or those 9-10 seconds muscle cars. It was soo great getting fisted HARDCORE! lol loved it :D Btw that pic with me running lucio, i think i hit high 20's! lol if anyone saw. First time i crunched and missed 2nd, **** myself thinking i wrecked sumthing and i just took it easy the rest of the way :( (I think i got the record of the slowest run lol) Ahh [xscape], that was ur car parked next to mine, very nice car and good time also! wat have u done to ur car? We gotta do this again sometime next year! Would be good to compare times with future mods, hopefully a bigger TOCA turnup too. I was also hoping more celicas came but o wells, what can u do.

Put it this way.. ive put my celica up againts other sportivos. Some of them i know how much they make atw's, mods etc and some i wasnt sure. Even though i was underpowered roughly 5-10 kws atw, it didnt make that much of a difference trust me. Btw my cars still stock At the end of the day these 2 cars are very identical wen u put them up againts each other. Mods will make a difference, but when these cars are both stock other factors come into play eg. weight, drivers ability to launch/drive/land lift etc. Other things u need to know are that celicas come in Auto.. i dont even think u can land lift in an auto, u will land around the 5000 mark in 2nd (Someone correct me if im wrong). Also theres the 2002 model where the celicas cut-off is at 7800... try landing lift 1-2 changing at that rpm if ofcourse u dont hit the limiter. I dont think u can really say either one goes harder than the other.. its too close to call. My 2 cents :)

Actually eddy i had 100kw atw.. not to mention my car just reached 10k on the clock, still pretty new. Although stock stivos would probebly pull more kw's atw, celica make up for that in weight ;) They are a much lighter car, like Zeerolla said on paper they are 100kgs lighter. Both cars have so many features identical to their own which much differences have already been covered. To sum it all up though.. They are just 2 completely different cars with the same engine and yep.. its more like $15,000 difference drive away brand new

I was told it was more difficult to launch hard with a flywheel (More chance of bogging). However powerwise was an improvement especially down low like kcorro said. Let us know when u get it done

Good air fuel ratio.... Mine started from 13 and dropped to 11ish.. pretty bad i was told, lost alot of power Does anyone know how i would be able to fix this? ECU change maybe?

Welcome Matey! Im sure they would be keen too... im sure some of u 7th gens can hit low 14's, not to mention the gt4's. Post it up it should be good
