  1. I'm up for the Mt Baw Baw cruise as long as nothing else is scheduled with TOCAU Will be fun!
  2. 3 months will fly by too quick I think. Take it slow, get it right. I'm in NSW for a weekend around June 30th for a mates engagement party. Also a member of the SydneyRollaClub. Maybe I can suss everything out then as well. Unless someone puts their hands up now and wishes to start doing all the dirty work :D Really need numbers, a mass e-mail sent out to get those numbers of people interested. So we can see how many may potentially come, and how much accomodation we need. Then we find good locations that would suit those numbers. Then we see when MOST of the interested people can participate in the event. Then we roll :D
  3. Ok, I got un-lazy and registered to their forums to view that thread; and it was worth it! Now to see someone do that with a rolla. Can't wait to see that guys results on the dyno after tuning.
  4. Come on, more people, let's have a fun day! Meetup point is Toyota Head Quarters: 155 Bertie Street, Port Melbourne Question: The $50 one way price, is that per car, or per person?
  5. 12 Hours from Melbourne to Central Coast (Gosford etc), NSW. That's when I don't have a break. Really with a large group breaks will be needed every 2 hours to cool off, make sure everyone is 100%. We can go further up NSW if it's desirable. How long is the drive from say, Brisbane to Central Coast? How about the time to Newcastle? 9hrs from brisbane to syd with a stop half way for fuel.... Brisbane to Sydney is quicker than Melbourne to Sydney then. Unless you're speeding half the way? Never done the trip, so wouldn't know. Have been from Melbourne - Sydney and back around 5 times now and it is in the 10 hour mark. 11-12 hours to Central Coast depending if you hit Sydney on a weekday during their peak hour :P Seems fair and even both ways.
  6. Umm, I'm going to have to go with Red Bull!
  7. Racing off the lights; not really the sportivo's strong point, and if you like people thinking you're an idiot, go for it. Anyway, if I am to race, I'm sitting between the 6,000 and 8,000 mark. Once I hit 8k, just before the red line, I double clutch it into 2nd and hit just above 6,000rpm and still in lift. The car flies to 100km/h. For a 4 cylinder N/A car it will surprise a lot of people. It's a japanese car. They love the high revs, and perform best in them. Much like the Skyline. You will never enjoy it as much if it's not pushed. Make sure your engine is warm. If you're on your way to work and you're racing your engine so soon, you're bound to do some major damage. A lot of friends call me crazy for even brining it over 6,000rpm. Only after do they realise this car performs at its peak in that range, and is made to do so. P.S: Don't race off the lights or on the street. Just gets you into trouble, loss of license, loss of car. Loss of life; even if it's not yours. Take it to the track, that's where you'll get the most out of your cars performance anyway. But if you really must, take it somewhere quiet at least :P Sincerely, Samuel
  8. Can't be bothered registering; too lazy. Not too lazy to read all these forums and reply though! Copy the details to here and add the photo's.
  9. I'm loving it. Those are some of the things I'll be doing to my 2zz :D Like most of us anyway!
  10. Some are working on their Supercharged/Turbo projects I have heard. That's something to look forward to. Can't wait to see the power gains and more people getting involved with proven facts.
  11. A nice motel near the coast would be terrific, or even a caravan park - all pre-booked in advance of course. Sydney is ok, but the Central Coast is even better for cruising. We can organise to meet up with the Sydney Rolla Club members as well (I have a few mates in there). Let's not worry too much about dates yet. Makes things complicated. First we need numbers of those interested in a long organised cruise up/down to NSW and members who would be interested in leading their group up/down to NSW. When we have numbers, we vote on dates. Even if it's not this year, if we can make a solid decision, written in rock; then we're off. We organise place to stay, costs for food (you guys in Sydney would be doing this work locally), probably a package with the accomodation. Where we will cruise once we all get to NSW and have had our nights rest, what sites we can expect to see? Blue Mountains, Harbour Bridge etc. Step 1: Who's interested. Get a mass e-mail organised, formal. Get numbers. Get people to reply by mail with questions, or to call a phone number supplied. The forum administration should be able to mass e-mail all our members; including those who have fallen inactive. Sincerely, Samuel
  12. Oh yes, great photo shoot :D Just make us jealous with envy for their cars is all. Then again, I love my stivo and wouldn't trade it in for anything. Such a fun car to own. I'm in for the quick detour to the ferrari's if we do have the time. Current list: 1. OvO 2. Mopp 3. Bigbum 4. m_luke 5. vvtL-iR (pending) 6. MarioX 7. gOODbOYz (if im not working that weekend) 8. RoLLing BLK (same, if work permits) 9. RME1 10.KaZe 11.IZZ-FE (Highly possible) 12. corolla_2004 13. baby_rolla 14.shmicko 15. Anduin
  13. I've had a full Alpine set up in my old 89 rolla SX and was extremely happy with the brand. So I'm picking the Alpine head unit all the way. I was looking into the Alpine IVA W200Ri as my first choice. But not doing Audio for a while yet in my car. Last mods ;)
  14. $100??? You're holding back... I get a good 350-400km out of my tank on a good lifty week... <cough>
  15. Thanks, that time it worked. Might have been something up with IE last night; couldn't be bothered restarting my PC with all these forum pages open worldofwarcraft.com was crashing my IE as well. Perhaps flash movies of some sort.
  16. Hmm, I can't open it. It keeps freezing up my IE. Oh well.
  17. Hmm, 4 days on Easter. But some of us have kids, wouldn't be the best date for such a large cruise.
  18. $79 for up to 4 people per night. $20 each a room shared in 4. Bit of dinner, breaky around the city. Not bad, not bad. I'm available all year except Christmas season as it tends to get REAL busy in my industry. Like, 130+ hours a week as compared to my usual 60+. Anzac day sounds good too, on the weekend. But is it a long weekend? 25th April this year is on a Wednesday. Best to do it on a long weekend, so we have time to drive up, enjoy the scenes, drive back and rest at home before going back to work. Sincerely, Samuel
  19. Sounds like fun? But why? So they can laught at our toy cars? :P
  20. Hello all, Just an idea for a once yearly club meet where everyone from QLD, NSW and VIC can get together at one central location, stay in motels and cruise around as one large group. I'm based in Melbourne. As an example, let's say us from VIC and QLD all start a day-trip down/up the coast-line/freeway to meet up at the Central Coast, NSW. Have a motel booked in for all the members to rest in. Cruise the coast and get to know everyone in the club in person. Not just a small club cruise from each local area, but a large one. Basically, us from VIC would meet up in a place like K-Mart by the Hume Highway before heading up to NSW. And you guys in QLD meet up before heading down to NSW. Those in NSW are basically the lucky ones I guess. Anyway, something like this will obviously need a lot of planning and plenty time in advance for us to schedule the date off work and get the cash together for such a trip. I was thinking a public holiday where we end up having a long weekend. And some time when it's warm but not too hot. Just before or just after the months of Summer perhaps? Anyway, who's interested? If we can get a decent list going we can look into dates, places to stay and total costs! Sincerely, Samuel
  21. Love the second one. That one can be made in different sizes to suit.
  22. Seems I will be coming along after all! Count me in (2005 Blue Stivo) PM me with details as to where exactly in the CBD we meet. When do we make payment, as we get to the ferry? And, should we book our spots in advance on ferry? Thanks!
  23. Depends on how much you love Toyota I guess. Oh and which is it? TOCA or TOCAU
