Ditto the above

I'm hearing you on all those counts whofan
-
I like it, but I've got a towbar too
-
Good outcome in the end, but I wonder why the colour change occurred?!! I will be checking mine out for certain!
-
any chance of pics of the discolouration ash?
-
Nice score! Better than my Christmas haul How much easier removal would you get than the built-in suction cap? My Navigator lives in the glovebox 99% of the time and it only takes only a coupe of seconds to put on and off the windscreen when required.
I always make sure to wipe off any tell-tale marks from the glass if I have to park anywhere dodgy.
Cheers

Merry Christmas Klugerfriends

Congrats Feral - and Merry Christmas!!

What an incredible story...

I'll confirm what everyone else has said
-
Yes, that was most probably ours - Wife & kids were over there doing some last-minute Chritsmas stuff. What are you doing in this neck of the woods mate?!
Just had our 40,000km service done, and the tyres still have a few mm of tread before they're at the indicators. Hoping to push them out to sometime in the New Year
-
IMHO you should be OK - from what I know the issues come with much higher k's than 40,000. The suspect piece is easy to inspect just by popping the bonnet and pulling off the engine cover for a look (you could even leave the cover at home if you are really worried and want to check it regularly). It could even be your Kluger is like mine with the proper all metal line already fitted?
Cheers

The two circles indicate where I'll be measuring the tread depth. The outer tread measures 8.3mm, and the inner 9.1mm (I'm using a fairly accurate vernier caliper to measure).
Paul has already already measured it for you BK B)

Bugger - such a petty thing to steal <_< I HATE HATE thieves...
Touch wood I've never lost a hitch, but I guess I live in an area where things are a little bit safer. I always like to leave the hitch in place as added protection for a rear-end bump, not that it would really help I guess

Good thread - thank you Paul
Are the Toyo's the same width and profile of the Bridgestones?
Hope you have safe trip

welcome & congrats!

Good stuff mate - will be looking myself soon

Here is the link to a youtube vid of the fault once the line starts to rupture
that is a nasty situation

I guess I am lucky - my APR 08 Kluger has the metal pipe fitted. I can't understand why they would not just fit the same part to those with the rubber piece. Surely there cannot be that much of a price difference
-
I have been expecting this as I remember someone posting up details of the recall in the States I think?
There was even a link to a DIY for changing the suspect oil pipe, but it didn't look easy!

I've still got a few more k's in mine at 36,000 - must be the difference between city and country driving (there has to be SOME advantage about living out here in the boondocks )
-
I went for another drive last night and tried to get into more rural/dark area. I found a long bit of straight road on my own and the reflectors light up a ridiculously long way down the road - until they all meet together in a red/white blur.
You can see the powerful pencil beam running down the road in front of you.
The only criticism I have ever heard is that the big road signs can light up overly brightly as you approach them and can be dazzling. Not sure if that's really a problem, do you think that might be a valid complaint Hado?

Looking good Hado - thinking about a HID conversion for my driving lights. Will be keen to see what you think of the output of them
Wiper Blades

Has anyone found aftermarket wiper blades that fit correctly. Seems some are too stiff and won't allow the arm to curve properly, and other just don't fit at all where the blade locks in at the end.
I don't want to pay high $$ for genuine Toyota ones
