Im interested to know what age & sex everyone out there is, their status and what were the reasons for getting the Aurion instead of another car (maybe one more stereotypical to your age bracket eg: 21 = WRX) Completely voluntary, don't have to answer all the questions, but would be good to at least know age & reason for buying. I'll start: AGE: 22 SEX: Male STATUS: Happily taken REASONS FOR BUYING: Needed a reliable, powerful, cheap to run, stylish, newer car for work mainly (property manager). Needed to make a good impression and satisfy my need for a powerful car. Had a modified Subaru Forester but I was spending too much on mods so I cut the ties and got a different car I cant modify as much......but I've found things to modify on the Aurion now! Was going to get a Subaru Liberty H6 (3.0L Horizontal v6) but in 10 years time the Aurion will still be good, Subaru may be close to the end of its life.

Im 21. Im not gay, got the most gorgeous girl in my life. Something tells me your a 12 or 13yr old kid who thinks he's king sh!t online, but come face to face & you will more than likely wet yourself and run screaming back to mummy. Got massively bored so decided to play around. Ive got a Subaru Libery scoop from when I was going to do some customising to the Forester...so did a quick (read: crap) chop to add the scoop to my car, couldnt get it to work properly so this pic of the TRD was much easier. Still isn't sitting right but you get the idea. Actually keen to do this to mine. Added some wheels too.......yes I realise they arent moving but the car is. Pretend its a super quick shutter speed ;)

Nothing wrong with a bit of extra noise :D Quick Q for DJKOR - Obviously these new tips arent the same as stock - small pipe inside shiny big pipe. Has it made any sound difference? Im thinking this might be the way to go for now cos I dont have the Moolah for mufflers etc. But I want more noise.

That wing looks the seks on there, did you have to modify it at all or did it just go straight on? Cant wait to see final product.

I know, i meant the rims available as an option on the Aurion are $1800-1900, so add 1" & TRD brand and it would be alot more. Off topic Re: TRD wing....I know it sits lower than the Sportivo wing, but it also looks as if there is a small duck tail spoiler on there as well. Made me wonder if the Sportivo and TRD wing are that different after all. Take into account I dont have a TRD to compare it to, so may be wrong. So - is it possible that we dont have to buy the TRD parts & just buy a Camry/Aurion duck tail to get the same look. (for those who aren't made of money).

yea herd that it would cost 4500 with tyres... and i might need a trd vin number... which i dont have From memory I saw $1800-1900 without tyres for the normal Aurion/camry option ones, so TRD will add more....pretty expensive for 18"s, I rather get a similar style for half the price.

Re: Grill - I love the chrome grill like the one BONDIE has, but wouldn't look right on our Sportivo models...on the ATX/Prodigy/Presara it would look niiiiiiiice. The grill on the black car is the stock Thai grill...someone may be willing to swap in Thailand?.

General rule of thumb is model/specification badges are double sided tape, while the manufacturer emblems/badges ("T" symbol for toyotas) have pins in the back. No idea if thats correct about the Kluger but its a general rule. Only one way to find out....and if there are pins, just get fresh tape & reapply. Or get your hands on a parts diagram & might be able to see whether there are pins in the drawings.

Can anyone direct me to a site that tells the difference between an early 90's Hilux Surf & 4runner? Im pretty sure the Surf - imported, 2.4L TD. and 4runner - Aus. delivered, 3.0L V6. I've read that the Surf's overheat in our climate...is that the same for the 4runners? Which would be the better buy?

Had a strange experience this week with petrol....Ive used normal Unleaded in the 3 months I've had it, but this week put in 95 octane fuel. Fuel economy according to the computer was normally about 14 (alot of stop start short driving) but this week it has been between 9-10L/100km...I dont drive any different, maybe slightly more relaxed but not enough to reduce it 5L/100km!

(I did a quick search to no avail) Does anyone know the exhaust diametre of the Aurion, in particular from the mid pipe to the mufflers?

Yeah you can choose 4" or 4.5" tips which should slot in fine. For those that have a Varex - did you have to change the diff back piping as well? Cos the stock mufflers input/outputs are off centre & the Varex's are centre/centre?
