  1. Just wondering, with the similarities between alot of the Lexus & Toyota range.....does anyone, by ANY chance know if the Lexus LS 460 is similar to the Aurion?? In particular the rear bumper & bootlid. Looking at the pictures they look fairly close but in real life it could be a different story. My main reason....I really want quad exhausts, but the cut-out on the Aurion is just on 5" wide, so I'd only be able to fit 2x 2" tips in there with a bit of room between and at the sides so the bumper doesn't melt...a pretty tight squeeze & thats not even taking into account them being double-walled tips so the overall tip size would be 2.5". If the Lexus bumper lines up correctly (somehow doubt) then I'd get a scratched or used one from ImportMonster, get a lip where the tips will fit, get it resprayed and whosyourdaddy. At worst (and cheapest) I would order the lip, remove the Sportivo one & put that one on instead. The lip in the picture below looks like it will fit dual 2.5" tips easy. Some pics of what I want it too look like & the rear end of the LS460.... My other reason...Dont like the Sportivo spoiler, not a huge fan of the duck tail from Ebay...and came across this one, looks pretty good but I dont know if the bootlids are the same. Pic... ........... And another reason. I realise that because they have different headlights, bonnet & grill - a front bumper won't fit. But if the width etc. are similar then I was thinking of getting a spare Aurion bumper, cutting it half way between the bottom of the grill & the lower grill. Then buying the LS460 bumper with a lip and cutting in the same spot...do some plastic surgery and make it all smooth... Example pic - yes I know the colours dont match, doesn't blend - its just a quickie to see. On the upside - the line where the fender meets the front bumper was the same & the wheel arch matches including the flat edge. Obviously anything is possible with customising, but I dont have $$$$$$ to throw at it so the less I spend the better. The front will cost a bit to do, I understand that.
  2. I've made many scrapes on the middle black piece of the SPortivo kit, actually cracked it too but I've popped it back together. Some of the exterior plastics polish should make it look a bit better. I've heard $180 to respray a front bumper, but thats in country NSW for a Rolla. Take the driveway at an angle and really creep in, slower you go - quicker you can stop if you scrape and it seems to scrape less. My driveway is borderline steep - slow is ok but any quicker & it scrapes.
  3. With the bits you'll need it will probably end up costing alot more. Either have to go genuine TRD or custom. I'd be interested to see what Raptor can come up with, they have a SC kit for Prado/Hilux v6. Might shoot them an email.
  4. Very nice car, love the blue - I would have got it. Do those wheels come in shadow chrome or any other colour but chrome? Im 21, there's a few other on here that are surprisingly young to own brand new cars...check out the Aurion Statistics thread. You have to wonder what happened to the rest of the car though...
  5. Fuel settle back to 11-12L over the following few weeks using 95 octane. Then in a daze last week I put normal unleaded in & the fuel economy went back up to 14Lish. Im back to 95 Octane now & its working back down - 13.1L a.t.m
  6. Should come out a treat with the new rims. Go for 20's!!
  7. Nice work! Parents have that model Camry which they are about to get rid of cos its not used.....may follow a similar path. Where's the body kit from?

    Going West!

Nah its great there...I come from an old ***** mining town thats falling apart with nothing for the youth to do but drink and fight. Even if it is cr@p....I can put up with it for a few years while Im earning double what I get now & dont have to clock up all the km's on the Aurion...:D
  9. Sounds a little bit like the K&N Typhoon intake, except for the bell mouth bit, pod sits around about where the filter box is now, but comes with a heat sheild. Make sure there is pictures....

    Going West!

As of the end of October I will be making the big move from NSW to Albany, WA. Moving over with my partner of many years, living with brother for a few weeks until we get our own place. Secured a great paying job in a prominent real estate office so I'm extremely happy. :D (< thats me) Any members from down that way?
  11. :o Aw man thats sooo tempting. I've got a new job paying 2x as much so I can afford to sell my sx6 and upgrade..... Gotta be a reason for not selling though. All I can see is scratches, unregistered, no warranty. I'd say it was flogged by highway patrol. :(
  12. Looks sweet. Those Fox wheels were also on my list of possibilities, I've narrowed it down to those, the Fox R5's or some multi spoke ones. The Dolce's would look alot better on a black Non-Sportivo I think. Are you revealing your plans for the interior or do we have to wait until its done?
  13. ok...................what? Don't they teach punctuation in school any more?
  14. Its just the Camry ducktail spoiler seen on our Aus models, check out ebay cos there's lots there. Looks like a fender vent as seen on Commodores.
  15. Isnt a private sale not covered by warranty? Unless there is a major problem. Dealership sales are covered by a warranty, but private sales aren't....too bad to him.
  16. These pics are of Joey888's ride from camryclub.com Love the exhaust - if it didnt stick out so far I'd definitley want that one.
  17. Wait... I know what it is! Ebay Fake Whistle Blow Off Valve!!!!!
  18. Im contemplating getting NDR.00G as mine. Which is N-DROOW GEE (ANDREW G) which is my name! ...I thought that was pretty clever too.
  19. Thats fine, wasn't looking to start any sh!t, just saw the TSB, looked complicated, wasn't sure, asked the question. Easy.
  20. Yup. This mesh grill seems to be gaining popularity. I wasn't a big fan of the large open space and lack of badging, but once I had de-badged my Aurion, I just knew my stock front grill had to go. I really can't wait to get it. Will definitely fit in with my minimal and sleek look that I am trying to achieve. It will also tie in with what I have planned for this Thursday (actually I plan for it to happen on Tuesday, but you won't know till Thursday... unless you see me on the road otherwise). Oh the wait is painful. I'm like a kid on Christmas eve. C'mon Daryl, give us a hint..... In all honesty I didnt like the grill when I first put it on, but its grown on me & Im looking at a small badge such as below to put in the passenger side bottom probably.
