  1. How boggy you are taking about. But I guess you have to drive with lower tyre pressure and turn it off to get up some dusty 15 degree hills. For rocky surface it does extremely well. As long as it is not muddy, I guess Kluger has the power and suspension to conquer most terrain. The tyre is the limit. If there is a Cooper that fits Kluger, I will go anywhere with it.
  2. Changing exhaust will get nothing I reckon. I don't mind a sporty sound exhaust though :)
  3. hmmm... as I have said... share THE love :). Bring a copy for us to copy.
  4. "Copy" is part of the world now.... share your love brother :).
  5. Congratulations. You are the first person I know that activate the hill assist without getting taught. :) I had a bad problem teaching my wife how to do it... so she will not roll back on a steep sloped carpark.

    25,000km's on

I am up to 30000km today. Not problem I could find, except some panel squeaking noise from the centre console when the car going over bumps.

    Strange Panel

Not underneath your steering wheel? That looks like an interior trim
  8. Burning smell is mostly likely from your new exhaust. Lucky man :). I miss those smells
  9. I did Adelaide and back on PULP and 4 days around town to Handrof and other places. I get 11.4L/100km for 1700km. Going to Adelaide is tough, since I had a bad head wind all the way until the end and averaging 12L/100km going at speed limit of 110km and 100km. During the 4 days I was there, it is great - averaging about 11-12L/100km. And on the way back, it was 11.3L/100km on V power shell in Adealide, and change to BP Ultimate at Horsham get me 10L/100km. I found the car much more powerful now too with Mobil 1 engine oil.
  10. Should have read it ... next time when I am get my mechanics with my Kluger. I will do the camber angle. 1.5 degree camber is impressive mate - you are close to a sports car! ;)
  11. I like to drive them at 38psi, 40psi if I go interstate. It is just the best pressures I found on firmer pressures. The car is much more responsive but it is much harsher ride though (a comprise).
  12. Soft disable means there is data and Toyota not displaying it??? I am sure there is a way around it? I wonder new owners are kind enough to share a copy of the version 15. I have a copy of version 14 from someone copy the disc onto a DVD+R DL. I am willing to do the copying when someone lend it to me for a few minutes...

    kluger motor ping

Hi there. Welcome. Low rev under engine loading is not the usual condition where the engine pings. Engines usually pings at high revs. The Toyota people cannot find ping because there is no DTC (diagnostic trouble code) register in the ECU. So it is either: it is so rare that it does not register a code or you are imagining it - like you are listening to a bearing noise that sometimes I hear. Pings usually assoicated with lost of power - do you have that? If you thin the AFR (air fuel ratio), you will get more ping. The Kluger is increadiably rich in mixture that I don't think it will happen So relax.
  14. I think the best is to get it reset to around 38-40psi. I drive around town in this pressure. 42psi for highway trips.
  15. I have 2 kids under 5 and they are in the child seats. The middle can fit a booster easily or a skinny person can go on that. Good luck with purchase. BTW this topic has been dealt with before and search button will lead you there.
  16. Yeah. I brought some Japanese stuff from Hong Kong. They are the kind of material that you can find in the Chinatown in Sydney for mobile phone not skidding off the dash. Think of that mousepad size in as big as the boot of Kluger II. :). Haha I got one just around AUD$30.
  17. It is certainly the best time to buy cars. I signed the dotted line on a BMW with a price that never seen before. I feel pretty for people paying near full price on that coupe when it came out. Like me with the Kluger, there is price to pay when you are one of the first owners. :)
  18. Congrats on your Xmas pressie No it is not the antenna. I wonder where the antenna is, is that really the left rear window. I thought it was integrated with the rear glass window with the demister, since most car companies are doing that now. The patch is for reducing glare when you are facing the sun. It is where i have my eTag - works perfectly for me. Actually all my cars have eTag there, hiding behind the similar patch.

  20. I had one 3/4 tank E10 and economy is from 15-17L. Even with me driving it. Not to mention **** throttle response.
  21. Need someone with KX-S to help you. Grande is very different.
  22. Grande or KXS? Have you authorised your BT connection in your phone?
  23. That is strange. I thought the rear reverse sensor only activate in the case of reversing???
