  1. Ignore the fleet discount since they are generally 15% better off I was told. Privately it is about the right mark in Victoria. I am paying a little less but I got it last year as a hot new model. I learnt since then (waiting more shipment for the BMW 135i then I ask for more discount :)) This price is in sydney and will be delivered sometime next week. That is private price as well.. not lucky enough to get a fleet discount : ( With the lower LTC in NSW that is about right. I feel much better now. Hehe. I will be more clever for the next car. BMW or Mitsubishi have no fleet right ;)?
  2. LGF, you sure? I am looking at the manual and there are 2 sets of aux input, one set on the right of the box is connected to ipod (and printed iPod on the box), the square connector in the other side is for the controller (I think), and both square connector and the RCA lines comes into one as a iPod connector (prob the one in your glove box. There is another rectangle connector presumably going to the CD changer of the Toyota unit. That leaves a set of red and white that is not used! On the left of the iPod RCA plugs. Perheps if you get a 3.5mm plug to RCA lines there, you can connect the DVD to the headunit. That is what I wanna to do. However, there is still a line and the kids will still can damage it. I prob need to put it under the lining and thru the B pillar and back to the unit or something like that. Need professional help I think. Is there wireless solution to that???? I am sure this day and age a 3.5mm plug - Blue tooth - RCA will exist!
  3. There are lots of products on those. I must check it out for sure. I wanna link the DVD player to the audio system. Currently I am using the FM transmitter which works but not the most ideal.

T10 should be the same, but not 100% sure why they are called so many name or if there is subtle differences. If you research some nice LED let me know, the source I used to get is not as good as the newcomers.
  5. If you want it really smooth, sometimes you have to clay bar the surface to get rid of the residue. I found this is the best way to get that smooth feeling when you run your hand over the bonnet.

The parker light is a mere 194 or W5W wedge lights, you can get those in LED. They may blow easily though. Some think that the parker light has more current and may cause failure in some LEDs.
  7. It is not as simple as getting a light right foot. Getting good economy really have to read the traffic and use as least brake as possible. That means roll your car, read the lights on the cross direction and keep some speed until your light turn green. That makes a big difference. I can do 11L/100km in 60 zone doing this with light traffic. You see some cyclists time it to perfection so they don't have to unclip their cleats, unless they are balance their bike standing still. What kills economy is stop and start, the most fuel is used to kick to 60kmh. Howver, I don't find a lot of difference if you get there fast or slow. In fact, on the flat road it will be better to get to speed limit early. And on hills if you are stuck in the lower gear you tend to chew more fuel. The instance bar on the screen is your friend and have a look at that. Most hill in Eastern Melbourne suburb like Doncaster I can get up under 20L/100km instant on cruising speed.
  8. I work for me, it does get on most wash marks. Most products are the same, and the fact that you have very strong elbow or an orbitor/polisher does not make a lot of difference.
  9. Don't know why 8.5 sec but now they need a 3rd gear to get to 100kmh, I can do that in 2 gears in mine. To be honest though, I rather have their gearbox and final drive. They are now also fatter, may be the same engine but different injectors. Power should be similar, although mine was rated 177kW. Still get 1:41 around Winton. Stock EVO X are running in high 1:40. Go figure.
  10. Yes, considering it still lights up and not blown yet. ^_^ I forgot now what the old one like but there is never a moment now I think I am lacking of lighting.
  11. Muguire Scratch X will be your friend here.
  12. Search is your friend Sammy, http://au.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/inde...showtopic=13314 That have tonne of info regarding fuel, economy and how it is done. Yes, women have heavy foot and they have no bloody idea how to drive smoothly. The whole time I am driving the Kluger I can beat her set average fuel consumption and drop by 0.2-0.3L/100km every trip of 10km. I measure I drive around 13-14L/100km while she is doing 16L/100km. So AWD in a woman driver, that will be right. Haha.

There is none. And looking at the housing there is only one bulb.
  14. Ricey. Please add more. Yes rotary engine drinks for fuel, eat more engine oil. But the engine is tiny. It is so small in the RX-8 so that it is sitting next to the transmission. The engine being low and inside the cabin. This is like driving a midship car like a Porsche Boxster. The result is a perfect balance between front and rear. The car drives beautifully. Think of that 1.3L rotary engine is calculated as slightly less than 2.6L in CAMS classification. It has 170kW it is actually quite powerful. Turbo RX-8 doubled that power, with the best car so far getting 227kW at the rear wheel (same car dyno stock was 110kW only at the same dyno). EDIT: It is much easier to overhual and unless you have housing cracked, the rotor in the middle and seals are relatively less expensive. Stronger seals are withstanding high tubro boost so far in RX-8 Watch it being put together, simple.

The menu said H4. And I brought an H4 and it fits. I am sure it is NOT a HB4 since it has a totally different shoe. This is HB4. American call it 9005. This is H4.
  16. The automatic is controlled by ECU, you can tweak it if you know how haha. Ricey's Kluger is just too fast. My fat one will not able to keep up. haha.

It is H4. Look at my link down in my sigature.

  19. I have a skinny wife and she goes there fine. We have a 3.5 and 1.5 year old. I would not say long trip though. The middle seat is taken off when long trip for 5 people and it becomes a walkway to the back seats. So no taking off baby seats either sides.
  20. I see one every colour around our areas. Lots of Gold for *** sake... not a lot of sago green though. Love the white, will never consider other colour. For all future cars for that matter, white sports car for me next (BMW 135 or the EVO X MR hehe... or in a couple of years time, a white Nissan GTR).
  21. Answer is No. And there is no mod for it unless you change the whole motherboard. DivX is a special codec and you have to re invent the hardware I believe. It is easier to change your DivX movies to DVDs with some DVD makers. haha.
  22. Don't get black. Since it will be a big wash.
  23. Downunder model. Perheps it is upside down... let me try. ;)
