:D see i may be a HOLDEN man but is still know a LITTLE bit about what im raving on about hehe :P so im gonna go the cheaper and BETTER way and i will let you gouys know what kinda gains i get it may only be a few kw but it will still have slightly better throttle response and that little bit more power for cheaper cant lose and to tell you the truth a good looking custom pod and box setup will look alot better than just having 1 single pipe running through the engine bay then disappearing well thats my taste anyways cheers rollamods

exactly and i agree with rollamods go get one custom made but to an exact copy from an australian store that you trust and you will get the exact same gains also by making my own one all im gonna do is copy the TRD intake but its gonne be alot shorter ill have the airpod sitting where the box sits with some stainless steel piping or whatever needs to be used with the sensor holder bracket thing and ill get a cover made up so i dont get into trouble with the cops it doesnt seem to far out of this world to try out besides i have exhaust so i guess a CAI will work in my case but i beleive the air has shorter distance to travel from POD to THROTTLE so it will have less restriction there for better response i will have piping leading the air upto the pod ofcourse im not that stupid LOL

yeah but if you really think about it your NOT getting what you pay for half the cost is all import cost so technically its only worth $250-$300 not $495+ thats the way i look at it why pay for import cost and brand name when one made here will do the same but be alot cheaper not that there are many made here but there slowly on there way out i know a place currently doing trials at the moment and should be releasing it in the next week or 2 but i dont know how much there charging but

lol i actually agree with you there i almost bought a TRD CAI but then i decided to design my own CAI wich i think may give me better gains as the current CAI's dont really give many people any HP gains i herd of some people losing HP so it can't be that good the extra noise for less HP or just stay with what you got i know i would rather keep what i got anyways i know somone who designed there own CAI and they got 12KW where there mate bought a proper CAI and lost 1 KW (keep in mind that this wasnt a corolla but i still think it will work the same) so ill get it started and hopefully finished and let you all know how i went hopefully im not wasting my money LOL but i guess somone has to give it a go hey but hey ive herd the TRD CAI's and i think they sound AWESOME but thats about it i didnt think the car went any faster than mine without one

yeah i dont really like doing it either well i love DOING it but yeah i think you get it i mean i just wanted to be able to do it and know that i CAN do it when needed so now that i can do it i dont really do it hardly anymore as for wheel spin its very minimal its just like a millisecond screech so itsnot like im full spinning the wheels or anything but im certain landing lift no matter what way you do it cant be too good for the car anyways over indulgence of a good thing eventually becomes a bad thing too

gees no need for the sarcasm i think the obvious has been stated the extra power has made it so much easier to do it i know you still need to be good on the gear changes but if you are half decent at it then the extra power to help the tyres spin help you hold it above LIFT i never said more power makes peoples shifting better did i

hey guys i just picked up my car today after get the manifold back zorst put on its awesome i havent even reset my ECU yet (some people say its better to do this to get better gains quicker from your upgrades) and i can still notice the extra power already i used to have to concentrate real hard to land lift from 1-2 before now i just do it no problems so it has definatly worked but it kinda feels up and down so i must say resseting the ECU would probably be a real good idea alot of you who get the chance to hear it will probably say it way to loud and guess what i agree LOL but my zorst mechanic wants me to sorta drive it in for a week or 2 then we gonna meet up and talk about what i need to do or whatever he said it may even quiet itself down after all the parts get a ??CARBON??(i think thats what he said) build up in the pipes so yeah anyways just thought i would let you all know cheers guys

well obviously as above states i could already do it but i had to really concentrate i got my car back today it was in getting manifold back exhaust put on well put it this way i dont have to concentrate to land LIFT from 1-2 anymore its EASY LOL so if you try and try and try and still cant do it well get an exhaust on if you cant do it after that well dont bother trying anymore cus you wont get it LOL

the CES exhaust is nothing overly special sorry to anyone who has got one im not saying there bad im just saying that all they are is mandrel bent 2 1/2 cat back pipe work with a particular hot dog and muffler and really as long as its a really good rated hot dog and muffler you can get anyone you want depending on note taste and amount of niose you like so any exhaust system place can do it all they have to do is make the pipes to follow the same line as te stock one ive sussed it all out with the guy INFLUX got his from so i am going to a different bloke i know who is doing ALOT cheaper but same system they call it a special tested system and upprice it but like i said its nothing that anyone would have tried before anyways im not trying to upset anyone here but thats what i have found out by talking around so dont travel all the way up there just find out what parts they use and get somone to do it from your area or like i said use a different muffler depending on personal preferences but be warned different mufflers give different performance but thats what forums are all about letting people know what you know so in saying that im always up to other suggestions so if anyone can confirm to or against what i just said go for it i wont take it personally like i said im just saying what i currently know

lol well thats exactly how you get 1-2 you just need to be more precise and quicker lol i found that 2-3 was easy and i dont even need to concentrate but what you said is exactly what you need to do to land 1-2

yeah i got 2-3 amd 3-4 before i got 1-2 from what everyone is saying and from whati have expererienced 1-2 is the hard one to get so if you cant get it your definatly not a natural LOL and if you still catn get it yet then just keep practicing i only recently been able to do it and my car is stock no short shift or nothing YET

yeah i i sorta figured the money back thing may have been U.S only but i guess only 1 person has gotta try it out then they can tell the rest of us i think its only $70 and for the chance at maybe picking up anywhere from 15-35kw (so they claim) at the wheels thats a pretty awesome price me thinks i am considering giving it a go i guess maybe im still thinking about it

nah i dont know its only $70 and with a garunteed money back deal i dont see why giving it a go would be such a bad idea plus it wouldnt take much to remove if you needed to claim somethng under warranty so if its a strap on 35kw for $70 cant go wrong i reckon but i would recomend looking more into it cus they didnt mention any of the bad things that can happen (lol who would when there trying to sell something) also it has 8 magazine titles covering it i see too but i only recognise 3 of the titles

yeah i know a guy who supplies TRD parts too wich i actully was gonna get from him but its still import prices but i thought i wouldwait to see if this australian made one ( i think its australian made) gives just as much power and response and and see if its alot cheaper due to the fact its not import

OKOK now you guys will probably read this and think oh is that all but i thought i would let you all know anyways well to start with ive had my stivo roughly 6 weeks now or just under 2 months and i havent even been close to landing a LIFT change from 1st to 2nd last night i was going uphill and decided to give it ago (yeah trying uphill before i can do it downhill what was i thinking) but anyways i ended up landing rouhly 300rpm short so i was absolutly cheering i pretty much put it down to the fact i was going uphill anyways i was leaving work today( with a 132kg mate in the passenger seat) and a mate of mine did a real big burnout in his 5ltr VP so i was sorta all revved up and i hammered it down the road to and once again i fell about 100rpm short( jokingly i screamed you fat ***** Aaron) i was cheering but still disapointed but then the very next conrer i turned and foot to the floor and BANG I GOT A PERFECT CHANGE it landed at roughly 6500rpm with a little bit of wheel spin wich was good so if i was dragging i wouldnt have lost anytime on traction loss and just kept going down and another perfect shift into 3rd LOL yeah i know big deal but it was the first time i got it so i just wanted to let you all know also im getting my exhaust system next week and i really wanted to get it before the power upgrade so that way no one can say you only did it cus of the extra power so yeah anyways thanks for wasting 2min of your time to read this stupid post LOL see you all round

hey guys i was wondering the TRDsales.com sight i was just wondering how reliable and how good for prices he is and he as in ??? i dont know his name either i was curious if anyone knows howmuch he charges for a CAI and a short shift kit that includes delivery to australia also there is another TRD person that alot of people have mentioned before but i cant seem to find any posts about it so if anyone knows of anybody else cheers i could ask him but i dont wanna bother if he is no good lol

ok well basicly i just foundout today that the corolla sportivos gave a pre cat system basicly for who dont know its got 2 cats but one only does a small amount of its job and the other cat in the 05 stivos are actually a baffled cat (type of muffler effect) as a result of the pre cat and the baffled cat we actually have less power than what we should be getting also means less potential out of custom exhaust systems now what i wanna know is do i have to keep the first cat wich is the one that does hardly anything cus i am getting a CES and i am also changing the baffled cat to a high flow racing cat too cheers guys i dont really know what im trying to say LOL i just want all and any info on the stock stivo zorst system cheers guys
