  1. After 21 months and 36000kms my total average is 11.47l/100km My best tank was 9.4l/100km and my worst was 13.6l/100km. 90% city (suburban) driving. Extremely happy with it consumption.
  2. Yeah it's always green when "on" and no change when "set". My wifes new Fiesta has no indication when "on" but is green when "set". Both the Mazda and Holden are better than the Kluger and Fiesta but the Kluger's is better that the Fiesta.
  3. Yep I can throw in my mountain bike then put a blanket on top of that before putting my Road bike on top.

Yeah I started on the glove box side and just did it with my fingers start at the bottom. It is very tough on the fingers but I didn't want to use tools and end up scratching something. With the bit neear the snow button the whole middle section lifts up. Once again I started on the passenger side near the non lidded drink holders and just pulled up with my fingers. Good luck.
  5. While not as good as Rice Racing's consumption, this is my consumption over the last 5400klms consisting of over 90% Sydney driving. Running kids to school, peak hour work trips etc. I am more than pleased and it's about the same as what I get from my Accord Euro!
  6. I'm pretty sure it just mean's the 3.5mm Aux input that all Klugers have.
  7. Happy with my front and rear. I think they're great.
  8. Generally, if the tyres are correctly inflated, you stay on the pavement, and don't hit a pot hole or kerb then you should stay upright. If something happens to 'trip' the car, as was the case in the wheels test, then it's a whole different story. Deliberately attempting to put your vehicle in an unstable situation under uncontrolled conditions is extremely stupid, especially on a public road. Hope your not suggesting what I did was on a public road? And what are "uncontrolled conditions"? I was more getting at how it's not an easy task using the footbrake to get it sideways compared to using a handbrake.
  9. Had mine sideway's through a corner using the handbrake(footbrake). Now that's tricky. Oh and it didn't roll!

It's very hard to photograph but I finally got around to replacing the stereo. It's a JVC KD-BT11. Reason's I replaced it. 1st - Not loud enough. O.k for CD and plugged in MP3 but radio was jusr plain quiet. 2nd - Built in bluetooth 3rd - Lighting
  11. Opposite. Don't rest your head on head rest while driving... ironic isn't. I only use my the head rest when my wife tells me something I don't want to hear and use it as a gesture... most of time is about her spending money. <_< I meant the OP.
  12. I must say I don't really get it. Are you saying you want your head to be touching the headrest while driving?
  13. Another Shire person here too. :)

I thought you bought new? This is a secondhand car we're talking about.

These one's from Ebay. The background lighting which is the 10 brightest LED's in the picture below are the one's that I replaced with white LED's from Ebay. All the background LED's have a like I said a rubbery type green cover over each individual LED and when removed the light coming from the LED is blue. I can't explain how the green cover makes the light appear green but it does. The slightly less bright green LED's and the one's not lit up are the indicating LED's for fan position aircon on etc.

Hey all. I drive my KX-R Kluger in the dark a lot, therefore I have my lights on heaps and I didn't think the interior dash lights blended. It seems that the Speedo are is new and cool, the LCD for the camera/info area is new and cool. BUT they just wacked a standard stereo of any colour and the same for the air con. I forgot to take a before photo but I had my mobile so took a few along the way. I wanted to change to a white/ blue blend to match the white/blue of the info LCD and the white/red of the speedo. Upon completing the aircon I pulled apart the stereo and unfortunatly there are 49 very small LED's that need to be changed. So the stereo is going to have wait till I decide wether to go aftermaket or do the LED's. I think I'll be going aftermarket so it will remain green for a little while. Some photo's (sorry about quality but they're from my phone). Remove this piece by just pulling and prying. This is the aircon piece, it just pulls straight out after the first piece is removed. This is the aircon controls when pulled apart. The LED's have a green rubbery type cover on them and when that's removed they are blue! How lucky is that? So I started by removing all these rubbery covers and making it all blue. I found it was too much so went ahead with replacing the 10 brightest LED's (in the photo below) with white ones. And the result.
  18. O.k I got a reply back from them and they don't export. What? How hard would it be to send a package from NZ to Australia? Anyway I've emailed Caska directly and also another mob located in WA that apparently deals with Caska. But from I've come across they sell for around $1700 which is bit much considering the other options out there.
  19. Any one seen this? After Market Highlander DVD/GPS etc. I've sent them an email but am thinking because this replaces "our" (australian) hazard light switch we would need the bit that goes in the hole at the bottom. Like this What do you think?

    Kluger Price

Congrats Trina, I just picked up my KX-R last Friday. Love the car but the Stereo has to go! It just has no volume or decent sound which is kind of disappointing. :(

I like them more for the look they give the vehicle. I think they just finish off the car - especially the silver colour on dark cars. Kind of like adding a tie to finish off a suit. I don't think I'd even use them for carrying things.

Hi guy's. First post as I've got a Graphite KXR Kluger on order. Just wondering if you ended up fitting the rails Scott? Or anyone else? I can't believe world wide we are the only Country that has a model without rails! Thanks
