GSV50R 2015 Aurion- Car slows down when coasting. Normal? Engine braking?

Hey people, new to the forum here!

Just picked up a new 2015 Aurion Sportivo and will upload pics soon.

I would I like to know from other GSV50R owners if this issue is normal?

Basically when I reach around 60km/h and let go of the accelerator, the car engine brakes (or downshifts?) and the revs go up slightly and you can really feel the deceleration. It doesn't just happen downhill but also happens on a flat road. Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks in advance!

sounds a bit like it's not shifting into 6th gear when cruising, I haven't experienced this issue in my 2007 Aurion, which btw all aurions run the same 2GR-FE engine + U660E Transmission, but it could be a software issue.

i experience this on my 2011 40 series touring.

i actually like it.

and for anyone with an aurion that has done over 100,000kms i highly reccomend getting your transmission fluid flushed and filter changed. toyota will tell you it never needs to be changed. but beleive me it makes a HUGE difference. got mine changes at 135k just after I purchased the car.

My 2007 SX6 has 152,000kms so maybe I should get it done, how much did you pay? also what benefits did you notice?

I cant remember exactly it was between 300 and 350 maybe.

Bassiclly before the change the car would take a bit of time to downshift when pushed the accelerator. it would tend to start in the higher gear for longer. not the best driving experiance.

after the change the car shifted like new, simple input of the accelerator and the car was in the right gear straight away. shifts were silky smooth.

I was also getting a big thud when shifting out of reverse. the transmission service pretty much eliminated the thud which was not expected. :)

highly recomended. my car was a highway car before i purchased, I would suspect if the car spends a lot of time in stop start driving it would be in need of a flush even more.

the general peice of mind knowing the car has fresh fluid is good also.
