So need some opinions.

Getting the rear skirt for my Stivo this week (as well as specialised32). But cant decide if I should cut a whole in the skirt for the muffler or go the dump pipe option.

Whatya guys recokon, ive seen alot of hack job muffler cuts but havent seen any dump pipes, so pics will be appreciated.

I know Blue Stive used to have a dump pipe - I don't know now though (Because he changed the whole system), There should be a pic somewhere of what it looked like with the droopy tip behind the skirt.

Also, when Peekay had his Red Sportivo, he had installed twin tips and only had to make a very small/subtle cutout on the skirt, as opposed to a bigger cutout needed had he left the bigger single tip. I may have a pic at home somewhere.

i reckon leave your rear lip and dont cut a hole...eg like my one...sorry if the pics are that good...but will give you and idea

well before i got the rear skirt i had a cannon that i got then i put the rear skirt on and the place that i got it done had a pic of a rear skirt wiht a hole or a cut for the cannon on a previous corolla not too sure if it was a sportivo or whatever and it just didnt look good if you got a cannon or so well thats wat i think anywyas....

so when they got the rear skirt on the cannon tip was behind the skirt so i had to go to a muffler place ASAP to put the stock sportivo muffer back on cause the cannon was burning the bottom paint of the skirt...and plus if i ajusted it with out the cut it would be sitting 5cm off the groud or even less ahahah...so just got the stock muffler fitted back on....just with extended pip work i guess....

sorry for the eassy ahahah

phew....confusing eiy...well i'll try and see once its fitted ^_^ thx

you would have to extend your pip anyways once you get the rear skirt cause your standard tip is too short so yeah either way gotta extend it

Wow i had to read that 3 times, thanx for that. I think the muffler sits on these rubber hanger connectors. I think i'll just get longer ones so i dont have to modify the hangers of the muffler.

crap i just remebered that mufller tip just scrapes as i get out of the work driveway (im dumped). If i extend it or lower it its jsut gonna make it worse. May need just a dump pipe. I hope the skirt doesnt scrape.

Hey all,

just got my rear skirt fitted...and drove for like 20 mins and the skirt is alrdy very hot.

Im getting super lows installed soon...so im guessing the whole exhaust is gonna be covered by the skirt.

What kind of stuff can i do to fix this problem??

Thanks, very much appreciated

Vhao.

you can start by searching... there are already 2 topic on this just in the last week alone, plus many more older and more useful ones.

so if your car is sitting that low when the skirt is on and your going to cut a hole and your going to go up your work drive way your going to scrap the skirt might as well leave the skirt and do what i did...cause once you scrap the back atleast it the exhuast tip and not your skirt eheheheh
