Cool.

Well, how does it go?? :ninja:

Weighing only around 850-900kg as you would imagine it goes quite fast and breaks traction very easily... thx, Hexx.

It's still only running 10-12pound, but the engine has been built to take upto 18-20pnd... just waiting a decent ecu to be fitted before I wind up the bleed valve.

Thanks for the comments guys!!

Hi D3fo's

Just a quick question as to what company you bought you rebuild kit from Australia or overseas. I am in the process of starting a rebuild on an 1988 model Corolla 2 Turbo

I am finding it hard to locate a rebuild kit. Any help would be fantastic.

Cheers

Howdy mate, I beleive toyota is still able to provide rings, barings and gaskets. We didn't need to get a kit so-to-speak as majority of the engine is now modified and bottom end was fresh when we pulled it down. Best bet would be to give Ferris a call @ Quattromotive, these guys have been doing the rebuild, check www.quattromotive.com.au for contact details.

Good luck and keep us posted.

Hey robie,

The engine build is finished, but the tuning has just begun. So, roughly about another 2-3 weeks until rwc and all bugs sorted.

You know there has been alot of speculation on what we should expect out of this motor from alot of differnet people but at the end of the day the dyno sheet will tell the story ( which I will post here ), you can make your own guess in the mean time... also have to keep in mind car dry weight is only 890kg I beleive.

Hi people,

Good to see other EL31 fans exist.

I have 8 of these little bricks in my collection and have wrecked at least another 5 or so.

I have an 88 gp that im currently using as a daily that runs 13 psi (love the torque curve).

I haven't had any time to do anything with them in a while but in the not too distant

future i will be focusing some time to play with them.

I will be parting some of them out but will only relinquish parts to dedicated enthusiasts.

Anyway guys keep up the good work.

Alas, it's time to go.... 4 years in the shop, over 25k spent and now a young one on the way, so the toys have to go.

This littel el31 now has literally the most worked/modified 3e-te engine on the planet. It's being delivered next week and will promptly be listed on ebay & autotrader for around $6k mark.

I will post pics of all the new running gear, the good, the bad, etc. as soon as it's on my drive way.

Thanks for reading and if anyone might be interested, please please please reply, becuase I would really like to see this mental unit go to a good home.
