In tank fuel filter .. HELP

Recommended Posts

did you pinch the o-ring when installing the pump or regulator?

Does it kick at all?

Can take a bit of cranking to get it going intially.

Install all went fine ...

Doesn't try to kick over .. might crank it for a bit longer ...

the only thing i can think of that petrol went overywhere when i dismanteled the original you reckon wet wires ?

Fuel gauge works and reads correct ..

how long are you cranking it for?

Leaving it alone for two hours wont fix anything.

Give it a few 10 sec runs on the starter, spaced apart by 30 seconds or so to not overheat the starter.

If that fails, pull the pump out, dissasemble and recheck all the connections, you might not have clipped in the power to the pump properly or something like that

Hi,

I did this this morning, and had the same problem, until I installed that little black o-ring sitting inside the box... >_<

However, now my fuel gauge isn't working. I've taken the filter out, double checked it all, but it's still not working. The fuel light is on, and the guage doesn't move from emtpy. Any ideas?

Thanks.

that would probably be the fuel sender unit...make double sure all the connections were put back in properly, then it should work. unless you've managed to damage it in the changeover
