Which aftermarket HID for Aurion?

Hi,

I need some help for my HID homework.

Thinking about getting one from the eBay, but which one?

I found Bosch one, but not very sure whether they are genuine or not (I couldn't get it linked. Generation VII, 191 dollars).

Would you recommend one for me?

Thanks a lot,

The only site i know that sells rebased genuine ballasts is xenondepot - btw they are expensive..

just buy any brand, doesnt really matters. The headlight on aurion is designed for HID, so there isnt much(or should i say "no") glare.

Should only pay around $150-$180

I don't agree with that^

The HID headlight has different lens and projectors. Therefore putting a HID bulb inside a halogen projector = glare...

Just because it is projector headlights does not mean a HID should fit in there.. (but then a lot of ppl do!! annoys ppl on the road!!)

maybe i m lucky when choosing then..

i m just talking about case for Aurion, not other cars like camry

05, which i know the glare is just scary..

well certain cars do have more glare than others - yours seem to be on the better side (but you can still see some glare spots above the cutoff point)

and also the hot spots..

Just thinking logically, a halogen bulb were designed to fit in your headlight projector- and now you put in a rebased HID bulb, the optics of it is different so obviously its not used as it is intended....but there's nothing stopping you :)

Just FYI, This is a real HID

  • 2 weeks later...

I also saw the bosch HID on ebay but then didnt know if it was legit or not so i didn't end up buying it.

Because usually german made HID would cost you 300+ so dont know why that one is so cheap.

I ended up buying a Kit called "Alpha HID"

i bought some MTEC 4750K bulbs that i have no longer use for since i got HID now

so if anyone wants to grab them off me for some $

just msg me or something =) the package has been opened just to see if it fits on the car, but hasnt been used.

I finally got the 4300K MTEC hid kit.

I'm know that aftermarket HID is illegal but couldn't resist the 'brightness!'

I think it has a little bit of glare and hot spot. So thinking about lowering the angle..

Anyway, it looks good!
