ZR6 Accelerator Mods

Hi All,

Unfortunately due to a motorbike accident a few months ago ive lost my right leg from about 18cms below the knee; After reading alot about the ZR6 ive decided that its what i want as my mode of transport now;

I need to get a foldable acc pedal fitted to the car on the left hand side (folds up out of the way when someone is using the normal pedal) and was worried about space, any chance someone has a pic of the pedal setup? or can indicate if there is much room there?

Have you tried asking Dealer/Toyota if they could do a adapted version of the car?

If you ask toyota to do it it will cost you a arm and a leg :P hahaha sorry i had too..

Im sure you could make something up yourself.. Only thing you will have to get it passed by the MVR.

ASk some of the driving schools where they get there pedel setups the ones with the dual system in the passanger seat.

Hello Jason, Sorry hear about your physical diability.

As all the Aurions use ETCS (Electronic Throttle Control System), Have you throught about just fitting a second accelerator pedal on the Left side, and if required you could have a switch that changes from one pedal to the other.

"If you have a disability and require car modifications, you are able to receive a refund from the State Revenue Office for the cost of Stamp Duty on the purchase of a car or for modifications on a car, whichever is the lesser amount. You must fill in a Stat Dec form, obtainable from the Department.

Luckily for me im covered by Work Cover so they will pay for the modification :)

Ahh if its all paid for, then go to Toyota as option number 1, as they should do the modifications as original as it gets.
