On the cruise I had to make a stop for the missus to take a toilet break. By the time we pulled back onto the road all the others had gone, so instead of trying to catch Peekay showed us some real drivers roads.

Hi mate, which car were you in? I was in the Subaru Black liberty GT.. and i didnt hear anyone mention on the CB radio who needs to go to a toilet break...

btw, did you get the maps before we leave typhoon motor sports?

I am Sorry to leave you behind the group being a orgainiser..

Don't worry about it mate! I'm not!!!!

Things happen. I was in the Blue RX8. Do not have a CB so could not let people know. The wife was close to messing up my interior so dropped back some gaers and floored it for a fast dash out of the group to the nearest servo. If nobody noticed that it is understandable. New car, leather interior... I am sure you understand the immediate need to get her somewhere :blink::unsure::unsure:

We still had a great day anyway and would have never gone for a drive up that way anyway without your cruise. I probably would have been just sitting at home watching TV... And not discovered just how fun my new car is on high speed twisty roads. I am going Back for more :D

Yes mate... No lie. I am still grinning. The only thing it was missing was Lucio blasting past me at 200 in Lift! :rolleyes: That's naughty Lucio ;)

Next time though at the end of the road I will turn around and do that 10 km again and then probably again :D :D :D

It's a stretch of road a lot of the guys on the performance bikes run. And you know if they ride all that way to give it a dash it's gotta be good!

I will start to organise something very soon!

hey Carlo, I will sure Let you guys know and macus knows if we are having another cruise coming near end of nov of beginning of Dec..

i still feels bad about it leaving you behind...

Yeah, i do understands when my women mess up my interiors with drinks and food.. (ArGh women.. hahaha)

Lake mountain was one of the lovely spots in VIC i ever been.. there are huge bends where you can fly over and tight hair pin 110 degress corners .. and way up to lake mountain was even better.. alot of big bends and tight corners..

Being the driver in the RX8 as i have drove one before, the suspension is tune for tight and huge bends on high speed as well as the close ratio 6 speed gearbox for alot more troque on tight corners..

I am sure you will love your car at a lot on twistes.. but beware, there is always a limit on a car which you can do..

The next coming cruise, i will orgainise with macus and let you guys know.

      New to Toyota - 2005 Corolla Sportivo!

      Long time no update. In all honesty, not an awful lot to update on. Life has been super busy and inbetween life, I get a chance here and there to clean the beast and also arrange for the usual 5000 km oil change. The car is showing it's age with more noticeable paint fade on the roof. After some time I've decided to order the parts to fix my slow power steering leak. After receiving the quote from Toyota, I was able to get the parts from overseas for not even a 1/3 of the cost it would've cost me to order here. The parts are due here in 2-3 weeks and I'm thinking of getting this done with the major service which will be due later this year at some point seenig as the car is quickly approaching 293000 kms this month. Other than that, I'm still enjoying driving the car and the money spent late last year was well worth it.

      Vibration through body (not steering wheel) under acceleration

      I've noticed the same issue after changing the front shocks from OEM to KYB - and while I don't think the shocks are to blame, it could be that there's been an issue which the old shocks covered up by not working at all after 230,000kms. I've also changed the CV joints in mine, replaced the front suspension bushings; hoping that a wheel alignment and new tyres helps this - will post back in the morning the result. Adam,

      Dashlight dimmer

      I scored a nice fairly low kms 1992 toyota starlet as a run about for work,my problem is at nighttime the dashlights are very dim and the clock is almost non existant,ive searched the dash from top to bottom and cant find a knob,switch or anything else to do with adjusting the dashlights...can anyone help me with this problem?

      Rav4 2016 ZSA42R 2WD CVT failure

      Hi Andrew, just wanted to see if you were able to get this fixed? What was the issue in the end? My car has just started making this same noise (2016 Rav4 - 97000km) and I'm worried. I've had the transmission fluid checked and replaced but the noise is still there.
