Hi all,

Newbie - first post.

Have had my new kluger for a few months now - I need to get snow chains and have been looking around - I can't find any chains that are made to fit the new Kluger's 19" wheels

Has anyone purchased snow chains??

Thanks

That is strange? How does the people with Disco 3 get up the snow then? (they have 18" with 19")

I guess it's more than just the 19"

The Kluger has 245/55 R19 103S tyres

I believe it is the first vehicle in Australia with this size tyres

plenty of 19" chains around but not for 245/55

Have had a couple of places say they may have something that fits and to come and see them - unless someone brings some the right size out before the snow season I will probably have to go and see if some other size is close enough and will do the job

Toyota advised that they had worked with tyre manufacturers and there would be no problem getting new tyres for the new Kluger (I bet there won't be a big selection for some time if ever) but said to talk to the dealer re chains and other accesories (so didn't work with chain suppliers) - the dealer was no help

Cheers

Piranha one (size 126 should fit)

6mm one is better me thinks

Konig, from their website http://www.konig.it

Matching chain size:(265) for 255/55 19, or size (255) for 255/50 R19.

The snow chains that you can fit on your vehicle are:

Supermagic 4x4, K SUV T2 Magic, T2, Polar, Rallye or DR models.

Which one of them is good?

I would try to avoid having the need for the snow chains, catch the bus up? I would have it if they scratched the rims...

A solution is to get a cheap offroad rim and tyre package with the same rolling mm as the original.

If fitted properly they will not scratch the rims, I used them last year on the Berlina I drove it for about 30kms it was like driving a tank, with the AWD you should not need them, but you must carry them, also most snow chains are flexible an inch either way. Thats why I got the AWD no more fitting snow chains in a storm while people drive past in there AWD'S & 4x4's LAUGHING :yahoo:
