great shots man. where do you get your stuff painted? looks like they colour matched the eyelids perfectly. are the key marks gone?

Thanks man.

Funny you should say that because in photos the eyelids look a treat, but in real life they are dodgy as

Both rear mudflaps and eyelids were DIY jobs.

Key marks still there, but I scratchX'd it and had a good polish and wax. More difficult to see the marks during the night, but still clear as hell during the day <_<

Ken, chrome too much for me. Silver is good coz you can blend in more easily.

And yeah tyre is on and scrubbed in :)

your car looks so much better with out6 that black bonnet, whats going on with the scratchs? insurance/privite?

Thanks mate. I think it does also ;)

The scratches are being done under insurance. Most probably not for at least a month.

nice pics andy..... + nice ride!, gets better and better everyday :)

Jeff I wish it could get better everyday, but don't have that sort of money

Right. So I got my car back.

I got most of the bits and pieces in.

- MWR flywheel

- F1 Racing stage 2 clutch

- Energy Suspension engine mount inserts

- RDA slotted front rotors

- EBC Greenstuff fronts

- 60k service completed with HPR 0 (0w-40), Ryco filter.

- Changed gear oil to Royal Purple (75w-90) and added Nulon G70 gear additive

- Flushed clutch and brake lines and replaced with Castrol super DOT4.

Atm still in the bedding in stage so can't really say anything yet about the difference. Much more responsive though.

But a couple of issues:

- My disengagement point is now at a different point. Instead of it being at the floor (clutch pedal all the way in) it is probably 10mm-20mm off the end of travel. So if I clutch all the way in, it partially re-engages. So atm I find it almost impossible to get into reverse without crunching it.

Would the solution to this be:

1) Adjusting the pushrod throw, or

2) Adjusting the pedal travel (free play?)

- Also when my car is sitting at 90-100km/h in 6th gear (so about 3200-3400rpm); when I back off I hear a ticking noise, back on the accelerator, no more noise. It does not happen in different gears at the same rev range.

Could my 6th be possibly stuffed?

If anyone can help me let me know.

Cheers.

fyi, the ryco filter is not as good as the toyota, and I've followed your car for a while, so i thought i would share

for $13 or whatever it is, you can swap it over fairly easily, just add a little more oil afterwards.

fantastic mods other than that.
