Hi Guys,

There are many posts around stateing all the issues with the sportivo.

1) rattles

2) gear selector cables

3) brake noise when reversing

4) noise when changing 2->3

My question is has any one actually had any of these fixed and driven their car around for atleast a week or two and driven it hard a few times in that time to confirm the car was fixed ? I've had all 4 problems. Problem 1 was simply tightening something in the dash and it went away. Problem 2 is still ongoing as i picked up my car on the 7th Jan and yesterday (9th Jan) this came back. Problem 3 just went away on its own. Problem 4 i have been told by my dealer is linked to problem 2. i have seen posts saying that they have had their rolla fixed for the cables problem. If this is so can you guys post which dealer fixed it for you and if you know what they did as ive been going backwards and forth with toyota now for 3 months and no fix. Please let me know.

Thanks

I took mine to Peter Warren Toyota at Warwick Farm. It's only been a day and so far no probs. Have to wait and see if it comes back or not. They just said the gear selector cables were changed so i don;t really know what type they changed it to. I'll let u know if the prob comes back.

if its ****** u off that much y dont u fix it urself.

im sure ud b able to locat the cable underneith the dash and speam them in grease or silicone on even rap them in a material that is alot less prone to viabration(like foam).

i kno i would b fixing it on my own if i would b in ur position, obviosly toyota arnt doing much anout it

I had a nasty vibration coming from the rear of the car, i thought it was a speaker or a loose door hinge. it turned out to be a loose number plate that vibrated against the car. That got fixed, now she purrs like a kitten.
