an EYELIDS question

Recommended Posts

how did you adhere the eyelid to the headlamp?

.. its comes with a patch of double sided tape .. but is that what you used? i question whether its enough considering the weathering and temp differences it will experience. any tips on what to do/use? or what not to do/use? is the method u used safe on the plastic headlamp? (or do you accept that it will damage the lamp, but not be seen)

any input on eyelids in general (like em? dont like em? tips, methods) would be great n much appreciated :)

As far as i know, people won't get into trouble with the law due to the eyelids only 'lower' the overall look of the front of the car, and they don't actually cover where the light shows, so there is no reason why you would get in trouble for it.

And so far, none of the people i know have had trouble with them, and i will most likely be the same :D

I haven't heard of any problems with eyelids.

Only way I'd imagine is if the lid was covering an ample amount of beam from the bulb.

But then again who'd be thoughtless enough to try something like that?

i had eyelids on my car since '05.

wasnt satisfied with the amount of double sided tape so i added a bunch more of it to make sure no1 was able to take em off easily.

ive had no issues with cops or anything like that ad its never fallen off.

just make sure you position them right the 1st time!

if you want something strong go to bunnings and buy some 3M weatherstrips...or something like that. cant exactly remember the name but its really strong double sided tape.

Yeah i just done mine yesterday afternoon, i got the clear 3M Heavy duty double sided tape from bunnings. It seemed to hold up pretty good
