For anyone that's interested, a couple of photos of the Toyota FJ Cruiser I spotted in Dubai recently. They look much better in real life and a real pity Toyota has no plans for RHD versions.

That is so super cool. Why doesn't Australia get any of the good models? I mean you look on the Jap Toyota site and see about 30 awesome models but we only see about 8 or 9 of them. And to add insult to injury they give us the most conservative looking versions of these models.

Although, to be honest, they did pick up their game a bit by bringing us the TRD Aurion and Hilux. But is it really too much to ask for an AWD Corolla or a new Supra. (Pleeease Toyota!!)

Looks like a wannabe hummer to me, only a lot cheaper looking...

Our FJ Cruisers look much better :) :) :) ...

Didn't know we had FJ Cruisers? As I said they look much better in the real, and yes like all the others they do have the Hummer look about them.

I think he meant this, our very own Land Cruiser 70.

Although the FJ Cruisers are manufactured in Japan, it is only sold officially in the US, Canada & the UAE.

The FJ is related to the LC120 Prado (5 door version is sold as a V8 powered Lexus GX470 in the US market. A 3 door version of the Prado is also available in Japan & Europe.)

he was referring to the original fj40 series landcruisers.

much like the monaros or the pt cruisers and vw beetles being brought back from the dead... toyota US wanted something similar with the old 40 series.

was a few years back though...

apparently its much bigger than the old 3 door.

love my old landcruisers but im not liking this new reincarnation much. looks too pretty to be taken offroad.

40s are nice.. apparently easier to install aftermarket seats..

my personal fave was the bundera 70 series landcruiser

my old bundy next to my current corolla.
