kk thnx for that. hrmm for the other bracket i reckon it can be fitted on by sanding both sides down abit or i could spread out the clips more sooo the sensor will slide in nicely.

hehe, i installed mine today. looks very good, but the sucking is not loud enuff lol. hrmm mabbie its just me. but when i revv up to 5-6k, i can hear it. omg its da best. best money spend soo far.

errm btw does any1 know where i can get rubber valve caps to seal off the sprout ?(the one at the bak which is not used) coz i went to 2 hardware shops today and they said they didnt have any :S. hrmm mite try repco tomoroz.

You should be able to hear a loud 'sucking' sound from the intake whilst simply just idling the car... at least thats what mine is like.

the 1zz-fe sounds alot more aggressive with the CAI then the 2zz-ge i think its cause the bore/stroke is a bit different

yeh if i pop the bonnet i can hear it. i think my exhaust system covers the suckin sound which sux. but no of the less i can hear it when i rev it past 2.5grand. im loving it.

hey dan can i ask ya something ? u know the bracket that holds the vsv(blue sensor one), how did u manage to push the large hose aside ? coz its sooo stubborn that i wouldnt move. sooo i just bolted the bracket up abit higher than usual and went from there. but the thing im worried about is the piping.one of the pipe(the one coming out from the side of the blue sensor) is abit (tinybit) bent coz of the braket being too high.

Your hoses ren might be a little different to mine as I've only done Stivos :( and not the 1zz :( northy might have a better idea of what you are talking about....??

on the 2zz you simply take the engine cover off and you'll see that some heat resistant foam is holding two of the hoses together. I simply shortened the lentgh of this shroud and seperated the hoses. which made the hose you are talking about easier to move around ;) as my blue VSV is no longer sitting on that bracket which comes off the strut tower either ;)
