TT'd (preferably with disco potato's) 1UZ/2UZ will go SO much harder than a 2J, probably use less fuel and have a much more useable torque range.

why would bother with a 1uz? 2jz is more tuner friendly (after market support etc) has loads of tourqe and would be a nicer fit in a 300

There's HEAPS of aftermarket stuff out there for the 1U, you just gotta know where to look ;) It will also end up being a lot cheaper than a 2J.
