night parking problems

hey everyone,

i nomrally park my car in front of my house, and someone took my P plate last night. Also, half a year ago, someone kept stealing my valve cap only on one side of the car. and i found a lot of little scratches on the body of car, and a big one on the bonnet. Really sad to see it. Did anyone have same experiences?

I don't have those problems in my area, although when I worked up at Eastland in Ringwood (VIC), I found that every time I came out to the car it usually had a new scratch or dent on it. It was hard to live with at first, but eventually I just had to come to terms with it. I caught someone one day after they had knocked my door with their door, but given there were already a few dents on the door, it was hard to prove which one was their fault.

The only solution to your problem might be to garage the car overnight if you are able to.

HAHAHAHA! cheap! stealing valve caps and P Plates... MAN! people these days... >.<

what bout putting a car cover overnight?? it might give them limited access to do things to ur car... even tho they wanna do it... it will take more time then before?

but i dunno if that will be effective >.<

can you park ur car closer to the house? like infront of door or smt? if you can, try putting those sensor lights. thats what im doing with my car, park it as close as possible to the front door and it has a sensor light, so basically , if someone gets close to the car, all the lights will go on! :)

Man.. you guys live in a strange area hey? This is something that I've never seen before :o

I live at Moffat Beach on the Sunshine Coast though... the Sunshine Coast doesn't have that much of a reputation for this kinda stuff.

I avoid parking next to 4 wheel drives and station wagons because it usually means careless kids and rushed parents flinging doors open and the resulting dents/scratches from them on your doors.

I once had a dumb Bi*ch open the door of her piece of crap Ford Laser and hit my door while I was in the car.

Told her off about it and she acted like it was my fault for parking too close to her.

Guy's,

I live in Redfern, Sydney.

My car is the nicest and latest model you would ever want to have in an area like this. (95 Camry)

For years I have seen little kids cruising the streets at night,

checking in cars with a torch & checking the doors. on every car!

Now that house prices have skyrocketed over the last few years,

lots of faux rich people have moved into the area.

So there are much nicer cars than mine recently,

brand new V8 Holdens, BMW's Audis.

They get cained every time they are left in the street,

even in broad daylight. (they roam around on bikes.)

But now, nobody even looks at my car. Brilliant.

So just park your car next to more expensive ones.

lol.

torque.

I love this plan - park next to an expensive car :P
