hey everyone,

my central locking has some problems, when i unlocked four doors, it only can unlock driver's door, and i need to press one more time (even more than once sometime) in order to other three doors. Does anyone know why it happened? Did anyone have same problems as me before? Thanks

From the sounds of how you are trying to explain it, it seems it was never like this before so therefore it is something playing up. It could possibly be the actuators or the control unit itself.

Otherwise, I would just be thinking along the lines of the safety feature where you press unlock once to unlock the drivers door, then press it again within a few seconds to unlock the other doors. My car came default to unlock all doors on the first press, but I had Toyota change it to the other since I'm mainly the only driver and it is safer that way.

But yours sounds to be a fault from the way I read it. In addition to the actuators and control units, the door locks themselves may be a little more difficult to move inside and may need some extra grease. If they get difficult to move, then the actuators may not have enough force to unlock them.

it's not a fault, it's a security feature.

to switch it back to opening all doors at once, insert the key into the ignition and turn it from off to on then back to off three time consecutively within 5 seconds. on your clock display, "Pro" will come up. press the door lock switch on the panel on the drivers side door to lock all doors, and your blinkers will flash twice if done correctly. turn the ignition off, take your key out and lock the car using the remote. then press the remote button to unlock the doors and all 4 doors will unlock simultaneously.

if you use the key to open the drivers door, then all 4 doors will unlock.

I own an 05 Kluger, do you think they could do that with mine? I am the only driver during th week and work back late a lot so it'd be nice to just have my door unlock only.
