I was thinking about removing my cat and replacing it with a resonator to keep the noise level down. What performance gains can I expect? Thanks.

Usually not much can be gained from a cat upgrade, let alone removing it all together. Not to mention its not good for the environment.

Whats your current exhaust setup?? If its 2.5" catback, then unfortunately there is not much you can do. Unless of course you went with a restrictive muffler, (tri-flow, dog leg etc).

My current setup is a 2.5" catback, with two hotdog resonators and the biggest oval muffler I could squeeze at the back (6 x 10 x 20 inch). Its still loud, but compared to a axle back canon its damn quiet.

I still have the stock exhaust. Where I live we don't have any law against removing your cat or for most mods to your car. Thanks for the replies.
