Hi all. I have been on tyhe toyota surf/ hilux forum for a while now and have found some great information for my surf. I also have a 93 corsa grey import and seeing as i can't find parts for it i listed it in the for sale section of this forum. Then some bozzo called BLIND KID who is a moderator has given me a warning that i cant post for sale because i havent listed 50 or more posts and he has since removed my listing. I am a private individual and not a business so if anyone can let me know if this is correct and discriminative or are some of the moderators getting abit ahead of themselves. I don't see this as being fair or australian and if you feel the same way PM me so we can work to see if we can get something equal and fair on this site. By what i have seen this is the only toyota forum that is so begrudgeing. Thanks all.

you have 13 posts... and 5 of them are in the forsale section.

we have rules here you abide by them or you leave... ok?

you got a warning because after you listed it for the 5th time... and removed it... we thought you should hear from one of us. Ok?

Well i am sorry BLIND KID SEEKS. I thought i must have been doing something wrong as my posts were being LOST. if i had of been contacted civily at the first instance then there wouldn't have been this missunderstanding. i do apologise but the longer this car sits in my yard it deteriorates and i thought some of your valued subscribers might be interested. and i only mentioned yopu being a bozzo because you put asterixes which obviously meant something slanderous. again i apologise and if offence has been taken then it was not intentional, just when you get a WARNING PM for something you didn't know you were doing wrong then i think that is a bit extreme.

Cheers Mate.

rules are rules and are there to help everyone

also there are other forums that ask for you to be a paid member before you are allowed to advertise for sale items other s also ask for a certain amount of posts before allowing for sale items

It all helps protect all members. especially from spammers etc

any way you look at it our moderators do a great job :toast: :toast:

Keep up the good work BKS :toast: :toast: :toast:

Any way that is my two cents worth.

Welcome to the forum :toast: :toast:

Ok thanks for the posts guys. as i said, if the mods had of let me know first off that i couldn't do it then i would of understood. just a quick message saying something like "sorry mate, no can do until 50 posts" then that would have been civil whereas a big

"mate..this is a warning...

you cant post in the for sale section without a post count of 50 or more.. "

which is like a red rag to a bull, then maybe you can understand where i am comeing from. I also believe that the mods on these forums do a fantastic job but in saying that they could be a little more tactfull.

So now i have another question--- seeing as i can't list a for sale yet and i don't even try to offer advice on any other toyota that i haven't owned, is it permissible to list an Expression of interest for toyota corsa parts. this is because i haven't found anyone able to offer advice on these vehicles and there are obviously a few more of them out there that other people can't get answers for.

Would this be breaking the rules as stated in the buy and sell section.

As said, I apologise for any offence taken, but i am only trying to help someone who is in the same position i have been in with this damn Corsa.

Hopefully someone with a bit of powercan answer my question and i thank yee all again for your input. cheers

Man... always entertains me to see people complain about rules.

91ssr, BKS had all rights to give you a warning because it is part of the buy and sell rules of this forum. It is expected that you read these before going ahead and posting items for sale. They are pinned and at the top of the Buy & Sell section.

Coming onto the forum trying to flog your stuff off is not going to get you anywhere. The community wont support you unless you support the community. It's as simple as that.

Geez, don't get you knickers in a twist.

P.S. An EOI is just the same as selling something. You are still advertising it.
