Sounds like you have fitted one of the o rings incorrectly... Happens fairly often...

Pull it apart again and check all the o rings for fitment and condition...

Also, when refitting them, lube them with silicone spray or similar to ensure they go on correctly...

Yeah sounds like you have pinched on of the o-rings. I hate it when that happens. :S

yeah had issue with fuel filter mine cough and splutter for awhile

just be glad you dont have a 380

the fuel filter and pump are one unit under the back seat

Majority of the new toyotas have one unit fuel filter and pumps under the back seat. It really is a pain in the ***** where you get the twist off fuel filters.

Piece of ***** haha... I do them all the time at work...

Corolla Fuel Filter takes about 10 mins...

My thoughts exactly - the hardest/longest bit is bleeding the fuel system, after that the rear seat just pops off and the fuel pump cover is right there.

thanks for the help guys,,

it was one of the O rings at the top, came loose and thats why it wasn't holding any pressure..

all fixed now and running smooth..

the first time i did this change took me almost 2 hours,, lol.. after pulling it out so many times i could probly do it in about 45min start to finish..lol

wil,,

sorry for the late reply my internet was down..

Is it the same amount of time for a stivo? I know it might sound stupid to ask but my mechanic gives me the impression that it is not that easy for some reason...

Good work Wil :)

Same amount of time for a Stivo, once you've done a few you can do them all...

Except the new RAV4's, retards at Toyota forgot to put a hole in the cabin floor so the tanks have to come out to change the filters in those, same as all the newer daihatsu's...

Thread Revival!

I had my car serviced on Friday, and afterwards, didn't have any trouble...

The next day (saturday), My car didn't want to start, and so i had to get it towed to a local mechanic.

Seems i have been having trouble with the Fuel filter, same trouble as Wil above.

What i want to know is, where is it located, how can i access it, and how do i correct it, so it no longer plays up?

Thankyou :D
