Rolla Conquest Fogs/CAI/dash lights

Recommended Posts

I'm new, and been tying to search forums... I'm not getting the hits i need on info about certain mods. If anyone can help with installing CAI, how to install Dash lights (i know how to pull the dash apart all i really need to know is are the bulb replacement?) is there any soldering requiered using the TD5 bulbs?

As for CAI i'm probably looking at autobarn to fit it i'm going with the AEM. question is do i need to know anything to instruct them?

As for Fog lights - i'm going to be purchasing the set from Ozeparts.com not bad price when you compare OEM. Question is do i need all the wiring and switches? i have a 2004 conquest. Some say wiring is already there and some say its not. I'm not much of a DIY person... bought this beast brand spankin new after a first car shocker.. although highly modified but spent too much taking the thing apart. For this new car its all done through Specialists trying to keep the warranty as valid as it can possibly be... although any mods made are alright its when something goes wrong with the mod is the thing i'm worried about.

I will have some pics of my car on here if anyone interested.. another black rolla, ming tint, superlows, amg 17's, 145db system running a rockford 500s pushing 2 lightning blue strike series in a custom enclosure... by the way 145db was made with half gain....

so any tips or advice would be appreciated.

before anyone posts DO A SEARCH i already have and i've come to my own conclussion that if i spend anymore time searching my car would be another year old.

I knew i came to the right place... plenty of know how to go around. I'm a very regular customer at my local autobarn..... some do say i've paid someone's salary for a year once... oh well!

AEM aren't shelf stock but autobarn can order. they order alot of things that aren't available. e.g. Black tinted tail lights that resides in my car were from some company who i didn't want to deal with just incase warranty etc etc so i got autobarn to order and fit for free so any problems would be their fault :).

thanks for the replies so far i shall take new photos of me rolla soon.

this should get me started though. apart from the CAI instructions i'm afraid the other 2 links weren't as helpful. about the foggies, i was merely trying to save money. i have heard wiring is on some cars and some don't. i figured why buy the whole kit when u only really need the lamps + switch.

i've heard alot about the coolant bypass. i haven't done much exploring in the engine bay let alone taken the engine cover off. if anyone could instruct me on exactly what parts i need and if its even possible to do on a conquest. i see alot of stivo owners doin it.

while we're talking zze's has anyone had a problems with their cars? at all factory faults? i haven't had any apart from niggling noises, like clunks when ur about to drive off and rattling from somewhere.

good to know that and when they have storewide discount of 25% you can get that off

when is the next sale????

not sure but if you spend enough money there in the last 5yrs or so you get what you call an every day 20% off :D

sales vary from store to store, some are nation wide but my local autobarn seems to run them less frequently...
