Just wanted some people opinions on painting just the cylinder assembly. not the whole caliper.

I noticed a mates CV8-2 had them like that from factory.

I like the idea basically because it means less work involved and seeing as tho my car is grey the silvery cylinder mount wont stand out.

Your thoughts please. Should I do it or should I forget it.

The way I see it, if you are going to the effort of spraying some part of the calliper, you may as well go all the way and do the whole thing.

But it depends on if you really like the look of it half sprayed. It's what you think will look good on your car.

I don't have the tools necessary to do the whole caliper and if im going to do it i want to take them off.

But looking at it after a quick GIMP (Photoshop) I don't like the whole caliper done anyway because i think it takes over the wheels.

ps. ignore how dropped the rear suspension is... I had 6 cartons of beer in the boot when I took the picture.

I personally reckon if you do it, paint the entire caliper.

from the chops, the assembly only looks a little odd

Though... on second thought, after seeing the Photoshop, the half-red approach doesn't look too bad either in combination with your wheels there Jeff. I'm 50/50 on this one.

Damn Daz. Of all the people to sit on the fence I wished it wouldn't have been you.

In the pictures when the whole caliper is painted red the red takes over too much. I was thinking if I did paint the whole caliper a wanted the cylinder mount black. But I think black will look ****, which leaves me to paint it to match the car which it already does.

I like being different as long as difference doesn't = retarded.

I'll sleep on it.

Thanks peps.

Full caliper spray doesn't look too great on your car, from what i see in the photoshop pictures.

Thats only in my opinion though.

Yeh i reckon the TRD red and black combination looks awesome.

Don't forget to post pictures :P :P :P

I'm glad you agree. I don't know if I will do the out section black yet. I will most likely do the painting this friday/weekend.
