For those of you who were out at Thursdays night's meet in Brisbane and didn't know what the huge burning fireball in the sky was, well I've found out. It was a chunk of a meteor shower which seems to pass regularly.

It was amazing and the best night sky object I've ever seen. We were all impressed.

Pics or it didn't happen (regardless of what NASA may think :P)

And NASA is trying to map all the crap flying around up there, this obviously must have been an object they hadn't mapped yet.
